    That's just an example of what he tells people, but he has them do it at the end of their sets. Did you ever speak to this person?

    Merry Christmas Serge!

    I registered this screen name just to say hello to the best bodybuilder of all time. I think it is great what you are doing here, and I am looking forward to reading your book.

    Admittedly, I have not yet finished reading this thread and the old one yet. I have been picking away at them for about a month, but still have a ways to go. I have a couple questions and I apologize if you have already addressed them previously.


    1) I understand you were offered $200 to be in the 'Pumping Iron' movie, but refused. Why did you refuse?

    2) It is my opinion that HANDS DOWN you were in better shape than Arnold for the 1975 Mr Olympia. Do you think your refusal to be filmed in 'Pumping Iron' was the reason that Weider sabotaged you, and why you did not place first?

    3) My current weight lifting routine is similar to your philosophy....moderate resistance/high reps/high sets/short recovery. I looked over the intermediate routine that you recommend, and I want to start using it in 2 weeks.

    My problem is that at the moment, I am limited to 5 workouts per week. I believe your program calls for 12 workouts per week. My question is what would be the best way to condense your program to 5 workouts per week?

    Talking Me Too

    I just finished reading all of the old thread and this new one right here (took about a month) and all just in time for Christmas and then i rushed to create an account to finally get my chance to say Hi and Merry Christmas to Serge!
    I see he ALWAYS says hi back.
    Its my first time communicating with a legend
    I actually started out training with shorter rest periods and not so much heavy weight years ago, but eventually got too caught up with wanting to use more and more weight
    But since I started reading the thread, I started using Serge's principles. I'm glad I came across Serge Nubret and his training methods, because now I see that this is the best way to be strong and muscular all year long and all life long.
    So... Hello and Merry Xmas to Serge and all other members, whose posts I've been reading for so long
    When Serge responds, I'm going to run around telling everyone I talked to THE Serge Nubret Haha. OH and i can't wait until you visit Los Angeles!

    hi surge just 2 quick questions:
    1 - for someone like myself with high bodyfat mid 20% bf who does want to lose it should i do anything differently with dieting?

    My apologies Serge. I was more curious why you wouldn't accept just to help promote bodybuilding. Since my post I have been informed that you were willing to help, but their meager offer was insulting to you.

    I totally understand your point of view there. In my opinion, it's similar to trying to tip the owner of a barber shop.

    I'm going to keep the program how it is, but start with only half the sets. As I progress, I will keep adding sets until I am at the full volume. I plan to take a 15 minute break between body parts. Would you recommend drinking a small energy/protein shake during the break time?

    Most weeks I can only guarantee 5 workout sessions. In this instance, I will have to eliminate 1 workout per week. Would it be better to eliminate the same one each week (ABCAB ABCAB ABCAB). Or would it be better to alternate which to eliminate (ABCAB CABCA BCABC)?

    No you just have to do the 5 workout then the 6th one the following week and so on. Keep doing the 4 first then the following week you will do the 2 left, same way, so the following week again you will have 3 left and so on.

    I have read many pages over both of your threads. I am convinced to give your program a go. You have a tremendous physique that is unique like no other.     A quick question.. Your workout that you posted says 12 reps for most muscle groups.. In a previous post someone stated 12-20reps is good..

    Someone clarify this for me?

    Hi Serge,

    First of all, great thread here. Great to see a bodybuilding thread by one of the greatest of all time. Now two questions:

    I saw your videos on youtube and they are excellent. You are a great trainer. The only bodyparts left out where biceps and delts. What do you recommend for those bodyparts and will you be posting them on youtube anytime soon?

    Secondly, one of the videos showed you training for an upcoming seminar in London. When and if are you coming to the USA? I would love to attend one of your live seminars.

    Serge, I hear that you used to 1,000 situps a day. How do you do that many? I worked up to 100 and my back and rear end were killing me! Help please! Your abs prove that your system works. Incredible abs Serge!!
