Why doesn't someone find the picture from the 2004 Olympia when he is stood next to Coleman. He is 5'11 apparently, and Arnold has shoes on in picture obviously so that may help.

Based on all the accounts that I've read about Arnold's height on various boards by those who saw him in person. I would concur with Basile's reported measurement (which I had read some time ago) of a peak Arnold at 6' 1'' -1' 1/2'' . Most likely the latter.
But those who have met him recently have said that he has probably lost around 1-2 inches in height.
Fairly recent pics of him standing side by side with George W Bush and Tony Blair would indicate that he's around 6ft.

Suppose he will get slightly shorter as he ages it will be minimal though. That is obviously an older picture of him, not at his prime. Can still kind of guess though. I don't think he will have lost anything more than an inch at the most. Seems to have good posture in that picture.

He is also older than Dinosaur nuts.
I think in his youth, early in the day, he would be a solid 6'5"+ change.
He is a addicted to 20$ bills, but his height is legit.
Arnold may have been 6'1" evening and 6'2" morning.
Everyone's height changes a bit throughout the day, and can even vary with posture too.
So what do all the measurements mean? Not a lot unless there is more than a 2" difference than claimed.
If you are 6'2", and you meet someone who is 6'1" or 6'3", you will be looking eye to eye with them. They will feel about the same height.
If we want to list some taller Bodybuilders here is a short list of what they are "around" in height, and gives and idea of what to expect when you meet them. Since some of them are older now, I am talking their peak height, early in the day.
Some may be off by an inch, its impossible to be 100% accurate with this, but expect them to be around this if you meet them. Unless they are now older than dirt (Arnold, Rolf, Lou) when you meet them.
Lou: 6'5''
Rolf Muller: 6'8''
Roland Kickinger: 6'4''
Noah Steere: 6'7''
Quincy Taylor: 6'4''
Jeol Stubbs: 6'3''
Greg Kovacs: 6'3''
Arnold: 6'2''
Gunter: 6'2''
Paul Dillett: 6'2''
Ronnie is under 6ft, but he is not a short man by any means, I would say 5'11'' with good posture early in the day. Some people come up with gargbage for him like 5'8", absurd. He is at the top for average height, nothing less than 5'10".Last edited by meathead320; 01-27-2009 at 02:11 PM.

There's a photo on celebheights.com of Ronnie standing next to an asian guy who is a shade over 5' 8". He looks 5' 9.5" taking into consideration everything in the pic. I don't think he's anything over 5' 10" though.
To be fair if Ronnie is 5' 9.5" - 5' 10", and Arnold is wearing thick black shoes with a big wad of hair, you'd expect a huge height difference. My routine:

Tues - Triceps
Wed - Biceps
Thurs - Triceps

You do realize that in a criminal investigation, from one photo to analyze height there is going to be a 2inch margin of error?
That and we do not know how level the camera is with Ronnie and other dude.
There Ronnie looks 5'10", but his posture may not be perfect there, AND then there is the fact that people are and inch taller early in the day. Ronnie says he is 5'11".
If he says 5'11", and you meet him and he looks 5'10", then he still is going to look just as tall as expected.
How well can someone pin height even in person, to within 2 inches? It is not like he really is 5'6" or something so you end upmeating a manlet when you thought you would meet a mountain.

It was just something to go off, most people who meet Ronnie pitch him at 5' 10", that's commonly what his height is believed to be. In that pic, it supports the fact that he's 5' 10" tops, and the guy who met him felt he was not even that.
Agreed we shrink during the day. But it's more like 3/4" from 1st thing in the morning to last thing at night ... and everyone shrinks, not just Ron.My routine:
Mon - Biceps
Tues - Triceps
Wed - Biceps
Thurs - Triceps
Fri - Biceps
Sat - Triceps

Arnold at his biggest actually stretched the tape to 23",that's why you hear the inmates say 23" in the pumping iron movie, that's why Arnold's arms look so much bigger than most pros who have 22", in fact if you look at the pic comparison between Ronnie and Arnold you can see the arms were about the same size and Ronnie had legit 23".I'm 5'7" and my arms are currently 19.6" cold, and they're nowhere near the size of Arnold's at his biggest

Arnold is my hero! He's accomplished so much more than just the build of an extroardinary body. He's one body builder that understands and knows the equilivent importance of both brain and body. He is an affluent man who's attempted to succeed in almost every facet, or area of life; politics, media, fitness, and health. He understands the importance of having an insanely healthy mindset, which is why I believe his aging (of being 60 years old now) has no affect on any future ambition. In regards to physique, his height is so seemingly irrelevant to his achievements in fitness and body-building. This "super-powered" man has led me to believe that great posture can supercede any additional inch to one's height. 5'10" (GREAT posture) >= 6'00" (HUGE sloucher)..Lol.. Anyway lovin this thread. Thanks for this.
