Note: I'm looking for WOMEN responses only with this question. Men, just because you felt up a few boobies in your lifetime it does not constitute being a bra fitting expert, or having your own valid experiences regarding changing bra sizes. Unless you are a professional cross dresser and/or trannie with implants. Then share your experiences too.
Ladies,
Since you've put on muscle have you experienced an increase in band size? I don't have anything to gauge from before because prior to getting down to this body fat percentage and size I was wearing the wrong bra. My lats have gotten a bit wider over the past year (btw i got my professional fitting @ Nordstrom earlier this year) as indicated by some of my clothes and how they fit - i had to get rid of some blazers/cropped jackets that i can't comfortably fit anymore.
My current band size is comfy (32) but I wonder if i'll stay this band size or gradually go up as i put on more muscle. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Just wanted to get some other (female) opinions/insight and hear your personal experiences.

thanks for your input ladies
on a side note, anyone else hear about "evil V's" (victoria's secret) and their tendency to mis-measure women? (although they're smaller, telling the women that they wear a 34 band instead of a 32 or 30 band because their store doesn't carry that size)The member formally known as LadyMystique80

I have been fitted at Victoria's....they said I needed a 38 DDD....hmmmm just was so big on me.
Bought OLGAs from Sears (love this brand) and I need a 36 DD....but I'm inbetween a 36 and 38....38 too big and 36 a bit tight on last knotch. But I have noticed as my back gets thicker that the 38 isn't as lose...so maybe I'll finally move up.
Agreed with cup size and pecs...I'm having probs with my boobs pooping out over the bra cup now....love the pecs...just not that look haha."This town needs an enema!" -- The Joker

misleading VS ...
Yeah I've been mismeasured there as well. They told me I was a 38 C, and I believed them for the longest time but never knew why my band would never feel fitted enough. I then got measured by a normal department store by a friend who worked in the lingerie area and she said that 38 C is huge for me. I was actually just 36 D, but still I don't want to think my band size is bigger than it really is. >.<

This is the worst! Thankfully I've stayed pretty even as my lats have grown my body fat has decreased (upstairs anyway >.< ) but shirts are the worst! always tight across the back.
I got measured for a bra and the lady tells me 'oh you're much wider across the back than the front'.
Yep.
Thanks.----- Does it work for you? -----

Lats
I’ve been training for almost a year, just saw this thread. Anyways, my lats have gotten so much bigger, especially since I never trained lats before. You know how there’s those clips on the back of the bras? I used to wear a 32B with the tightest clip setting. Now it’s on the loosest setting and I can barely wear this bra because it exposes half of my nip because my bust got bigger too. I need to go shopping. 😭😭 in conclusion, my lats got bigger, but I was skinny to begin with. Also, over the time of my training, my weight started at 108, went up to 115, and now I’m about 109. 5 feet tall. Just for the record.

I'm 5'0, 113 lbs. on average, have been training heavy for 15 years. My bra band size did not change (34-36), but my body composition, shape (V tapered lats) and muscle sculpting changed dramatically, from year 1 to current date. Fluctuations (with lat size, also) depend upon my own strength, cardiovascular fitness levels and calorie intake as well. If your bust and lats became that much bigger in a short period of time, it may be due to diet/and or bulking, as well. I would wear supportive sports bras at the gym and buy some new comfy ones at Victoria's Secret....a strong woman is a sexy woman!

I have to have 2 entirely different wardrobes - including sports bras (which is pretty much all I bother with anymore). With my stage weight and power lifting weight being about 25 pounds apart, I'm looking at variances between being an XS/S and solidly M.
But I don't think it's much 'lat size' ... I have bigger than average lats, but straps hit pretty low. For me, it's more overall size that changes clothing sizeLast edited by ProYeo; 01-04-2019 at 10:10 AM.
