    Keto pancakes

I just made these yesterday and they tasted phenomenal. Easily an 8/10.

Protein Packed Low Carb Pancakes Recipe

    1/2 cup almond flour/meal
    3/4 cup protein powder
    3 packets splenda
    1/4 cup water
    2 whole eggs
    1 Tbsp oil

Cook on low-medium as these do cook quickly. Yields about six 5 inch pancakes. If you use sparkling water they will be a little bit more fluffy. Per pancake: (9.3grams fat, 2 grams net carbs, 13.3 grams protein).

I added to these some whip cream and sugar-free chocolate syrup (I used chocolate protein powder), which makes it taste like a dessert.

Can we use flaxmeal instead of almond flour? If so, what's the exchange rate?

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to, I've had success using flaxmeal in other recipes and in this one it seems like it would fit just fine.

I modified this. It was AMAZING

    1/2 cup flax meal
1/2 cup flavorless soy protein powder
    3 packets splenda
    1/2 cup water
    2 whole eggs
    1 Tbsp oil

Cook on low-medium as these do cook quickly. Yields about six 5 inch pancakes. If you use sparkling water they will be a little bit more fluffy. Per pancake:

    700calories/45fat/2carb(20 fiber)/45protein

Top with Walden's Farms Calorie Free Maple or Blueberry Syrup (I prefer Maple, my dad preferes Blueberry).

    Amazing recipe.

I just made the "pancake" in the video but with half a scoop of choc protein powder instead of whatever fiber thing he put in and it tasted amazing.

I think i have perfected this recipe no lie, it tastes sooooo GOOOD.

    1/2 c Egg Beaters
    1 scoop protein powder
    about 1/4 c milk ( didnt measure )
    Cinnamon.
    2 TBS Organic Flax Seed

You than cook it using the technique in the video, and melt some PB in the microwave ( 2 tbs) The amount of ingredients I used was able to make 2 medium sized pancakes that were very filling and delicious.

Any other idea for toppings tho?

could sugar free syrup kick u out of ketosis because of the sugar alcohols? its still got that amount of carbs in it

get Walden Farms or Davinci/Torani. They're the best for keto. I use Walden Farms Pancake Syrup for my waffles (same as the pancake recipe I posted, but with extra egg over oil, and using a waffle iron instead of making pancakes).

    0. No sugar alcohols or carbs or anything to worry about. It's flavored with sucralose (Splenda)

If you can, find them at a cheaper website, but a lot of health food stores have them if you wanna try them

    1/2 cup flax meal
1/2 cup flavorless soy protein powder
    3 packets splenda
    1/2 cup water
    2 whole eggs
    1 Tbsp oil
doesnt sound very good, why not at least use flavored protein powder?

Then it won't taste like regular pancakes. If you use chocolate, it makes them chocolatey. If you use vanilla, it makes them vanilla-flavored.

Flavoredless makes them taste the most like regular pancakes. With a little syrup they're better than the real things. Oh, and that recipe doesn't make very much, I usually double it (using 4 eggs and no oil), and I only used soy the first time I made it, because I had nothing else.

    1 cup flax meal
    1 cup flavorless protein powder
    4 packets splenda
Enough water to make a pancake batter
    4 whole eggs
    Cinnamon to taste

And then I plop it into a waffle iron. It makes me 4 pretty big and fluffy waffles.

I used to make up a whole weeks worth of pancakes at one time and then just pop them in the microwave.

Do you think I could do this with this recipe?

A better way to make these is with fine ground up pork rinds...you wont even taster the pork rinds...thats my favorite way to make them. And put a lil cream cheese in the microwave for less than thirty seconds and spread that between each pancake as you take them off of the skillet...YYUUUUMMMM!!!

Doesn't cooking the pancake cause the protein powder to denaturize..?

wow i just used 4 tbs of flax meal, 1/2 cup water, tbs of heavy cream, 2 eggs, 1 scoop of protein, and it made like 8 pancakes. I'm so freaking stuffed all of that didn't even get me to my macros for the meal I love it. It really tricked my mind into having carbs as well.

Oh wow, how yummy was that, thanks for the recipe! I'm a terrible cook & even I could make these. Used:
    .5 Cup Original Egg Beaters
    Sprinkling of Cinnamon
1 scoop Whey ON chocolate protein powder
    splash of water

Mixed with fork. Then put lotsa Smart balance Butter & some olive oil in bottom of pan & cooked on the 3 setting (my stove has 1-8). Sprayed Smart no-cal butter spray & more of their reg. butter on top as well as Splenda & a tiny bit of cinnamon. Soooooo good! And uneggy. Tasted like a buckwheat pancake. I think I'll add Splenda mixed inside as well next time. Made 2 decent-sized pancakes, verrrry filling. About 186 cal.

    Another topping idea:
Walden Farms Calorie Free Maple Syrup... haven't tried it yet but heard it's good

looks good, i gotta get some flax seed flour. i've been making my own pancakes recently that are great. just egg whites, cinnamon, stevia, and 1/4 cup oatmeal (not full keto right now, you could just use flax)..then i put like 2tbsp of PB on it and its great

1/2 cup flavorless soy protein powder
    3 packets splenda
    1/2 cup water
    2 whole eggs
    1 Tbsp oil

Cook on low-medium as these do cook quickly. Yields about six 5 inch pancakes. If you use sparkling water they will be a little bit more fluffy. Per pancake:

    700calories/45fat/2carb(20 fiber)/45protein

Top with Walden's Farms Calorie Free Maple or Blueberry Syrup (I prefer Maple, my dad preferes Blueberry).

    Amazing recipe.
tryin this today pwo.. but 700 cals per pancake that seems so high for those ingredients?? i put in the flax, 1/2 cuz ON vanilla whey, 2 stevia packs, the water and eggs, and 1 tbsp olive oil.. ill go with those numbers for now but is this correct?

Lol I messed up back when I posted that. I'm pretty sure that recipe is about 700-800 calories IN ALL.

For the water, 1/2 cup may not work. Just add a little at a time until it's battery.

I'm pretty sure vanilla extract is keto safe.

But yeah, these pancakes are amazing. I've tweaked the recipe (far less flaxmeal) for a non-keto diet (w/ oats) and it's quite good.

I've been trying a few of these recipes on this thread and first off, they have all tasted bland, and the texture has been very dry and thick. I've gone through three interations so far, each is a little better, but not good enough.

The flax makes it very, i dont know, hay like. and I think the protein gives it the thick, dry texture. I replaced the flax with soy four and it was a lot better, but still bland. I think it would be better with almond flour, but seeing as its $10, I dont see that happening.

I'm going to adjust the soy flour/protein ratio from 1/3 to 3/1 to see if that helps.

but seriously, I dont see how people can describe these as amazing.

sorry to be such a debbie downer about these, but I was pretty dissappointed

switchnig the soy flour ratio helped out a lot, I ate one last night and kept the rest for this morning.

They werent nearly as good this morning. But I choked it down cause I didnt want to make anything else.

I'm goign to try again tonight with no protein. just load on the fat with the butter for fuel
