The VS Athletics are ugly as sin, were a good pair while I had them though (someone just walked off with my pair in the gym one day, wtf).
I've made the decision to switch back to high bar squatting, just emailed Glenn for some advice on Rogues vs regular Do-Wins.IG: @toadkillerdog

last time i checked they were only 45 dollars but they only had size 5.5 since they were sold out of the other sizes
see i dont understand how theyre "ugly as sin" i have them and imo they look pretty good compared to the ugly ass old VS shoes.
plus theyre weightlifting shoes who really cares how they look.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the old "ugly ass" Vs shoes. I could be wrong though.... there's a reason they're selling the black and white ones for $45, and it ain't cuz they're feeling generous.
I would like to see more pics of the black and white ones though, if you could post them up.There is no greater natural advantage in life than to have an enemy overestimate your faults, unless it is to have a friend underestimate your virtues.

ill try to get some pics up tomm maybe but my camera hasnt been uploading recently for some reason; ill try though.
the reason i figured he meant the black/white ones were ugly as sin b/c when the 45 dollar vs shoes originally came out i couldnt remember who it was but someone described them as "ulgy as sin" so i figured he meant those shoes.
oh and i heard they were selling them for 45 dollars because the guy wasnt satisfied with them and watned to get rid of them because at the factory they were supposed to have made the toepiece black but it was white so the guy at vs decided to sell them at a large discount
pretty stupid reason to sell them so low though imo but hey, got a cheap pair of lifting shoes from it.

Rogue shoes
I'm sure this is a dumb question but a lot of you with the Rogues were saying to buy them a half size smaller than your "regular" shoe size. I wear a size 11.5 in Nike Shocks and an 11 in my Chuck's (which I lift in). Should I go with an 11 or a 10.5 in the Rogue?

Hey, I just wanted to add some more info to the thread. I wear 10.5's in asics and bought a pair of size 10 Rogues. They may be a touch to big, but I think the 9.5's would be a touch to small. I just tighten them pretty tight and they are good to go.

I'm thinking about buying a pair of 2008 do-wins here in the uk. I'm a uk size 11(euro-46) so I should be ordering 10.5's? I know it's been stated earlier in the thread that do-wins need to be ordered half a step smaller but I thought I'd post this anyway because I don't want the hassle of having to send them back if they're too small. I hate ordering clothing and shoes off of the net.

Whatever size you order, they will send you half a size smaller regardless. If you order a 10, they'll mail a 9.5. If you order a 9.5, they'll send a 9. Unless you call!

Heads up!
I want to announce that I am no longer endorsing products from Pendlay Barbells or Wichita Falls Weightlifting. I have heard numerous complaints concerning their poor customer service, shipping, products, and now copyright infringement.
If you're in the market for Do-Wins or Rogues I suggest going to Werksan USA (http://www.werksanusa.com/products-shoe-shirts.asp) or Rogue Fitness (http://www.roguefitness.com/store/rogue_dowins.php).
I apologize for any problems that have stemmed from my high praise of them in the past. There is no greater natural advantage in life than to have an enemy overestimate your faults, unless it is to have a friend underestimate your virtues.
