Three asterisks.
Who else is watching the tapes being released?
The analysts are saying the tapes gave the Pats a huge advantage.
And you know what? I believe Belichick was a fraud the whole time. The Pats have never been GREAT when it comes to overall talent until this past season, and Belichick was an awful coach in Cleveland. (who CUTS Bernie Kosar? seriously?)
I say take 2 more first rounders away and suspend Belichick for a year.

I haven't read a whole lot on the tapes, but from what I've heard so far, the tapes aren't revealing too much new.
Walsh didn't have tapes of the Rams walk-through and never claimed he did.
Although I did hear that when Goodell interviews Walsh that timing is going to be a huge factor. Timing of the tapes, who saw the tapes, were there any reporting done on the tapes, did Brady see them, did Weiss see them, etc.

Just as bad as Barry Bonds, if not worse. everyone else in baseball was on steroids so it's not like he was the only one as belicheat and the patriots are.
I think the NFL should impose bans like the NCAA does on postseason play. When you cheat, you are banned from the playoffs for a certain amount of time. Sure would stop the cheating cuz teams would lose a ****ign butt ton of fans if they knew there was no chance of making the playoffs.

That's just what the NFL wants you to think, they're covering this thing up well. The Patriots got in trouble for taping the jets game, they shoudl get into more trouble for this.
Good job Roger Goodell on trying to cover this up by saying nothing new. I remember they were pissed when the sideline tapes of the jets game came out. For what reason? They cheated, why try to keep it a secret?

Why has this thread even been made. Theres 3 other ones about the same exact thing that were made when Walsh released the tapes. Its still the same thing, nothing new has been released. Goodell knew the Pats had taped previous games when he made the original punishment. The only damaging thing that could have came out of this whole Walsh thing is if he had a tape of the Patriots filming the Rams walk through which he does not. All of these tapes that he has given to Goodell have only proven what Belichek originally told Goodell which is that they had previously filmed teams before the Jets game. Goodell than destroyed these original copies of the tapes(probably the same tapes Walsh handed over to him) and than fined the Patriots. Nothing new has been brought to the table by Walsh so why anyones talking about further punishment amazes me.
