    Question for Aussie Trainers

    Hey! My husband and I are moving to Australia in December (he's an AUS resident, I'm a US resident).

    I want to pursue personal training there, but am working on my certification here. Is ACE recognized in Australia or ISSA? Any others?

    I already have my ACE study materials and the YMCA is putting me through their group instructor training (not much to it, but they are paying).

    Any advice is really appreciated! I don't want to waste my money, but I figure since I'll get practical experience here from now to December, it will help!

    ACE sounds familiar but i am not sure. If theYMCA is putting you through, as it is a worldwide organisation it may be ok.

    Worst comes to worst you shoudl be able to apply to an australian organisation and just show them your other accrediations.

    Check out Fitness Australia www.fitness.org.au, they are the main registering body for fitness professionals. From there it depends which state you'll be moving to. The Fitness Australia website has the links to the state bodies as well.
    I don't know how you'll go transferring your accreditation across but you can only contact them and find out.
