So I have no blender, but all the ingredients to make pre/post shakes. Could I just do a scoop of whey in water, have 1 banana and spoon 1/2 cup of oats dry? Or does the liquid effect need to be there for the shake to be effective since I will be in the gym half an hour later.

Thats what i do when i'm at school. I have my whey and some powdered milk in a cup, add water, shake and drink, and eat the oats + banana on the side.

hell man there are timjes I just take a scoop of whey and pour a little watter in my mouth and emtpy the scoop in my mouth and shake it uop in my mouth
then drink

Whey protein mixes fairly well without a blender. For other types of protein and meal replacement powders, you're gonna want to use some sort of electric mixer. I haven't used a blender in years. Go with a stick type mixer like this.
