Its been giving me problems off and on but today it hurt more than it ever did before, only the left side, what do you recommend i do to get rid of the pain?

look up some resistance band rotator cuff workouts.....and dont lift again till the pains gone i tore my cora tendon (connects chest and r cuff) and i was out for a month....so just ice it and stretch it and try to find a good resistance band routine

Probably tendonitis/bursitus. Take an anti-inflammatory. Ice it, band excersizes. Lay low for a week or two. Start back slow.
