    Thumbs down Ate some damn refried beans...

    Sup guys so this morning my GF decided to cook me a nice breakfast which consited of scrambled eggs with sausage, wheat toast and refried beans. I know I shouldnt have eaten the refried beans but damn they were just so damn good. My question is how bad are refried beans to your body, especially if your trying to lose weight. I would like your opinions please. Thx guys.

    they are actually better than oatmeal imo. Lower on the glycemic index and reduce cholesterol more than oats. Also higher in fiber and protein.

    Look at the nutrition facts on the back of the can. Some brands of refried beans are loaded with fat, salt and sugar. But most are actually really healthy and low GI. I've been throwing some in my brown rice lately to add some extra carbs and help get the brown rice down.

    If it was just a nibble your good to go. Any more than that and you just threw a whole years of hard work out the window. Srsly, you didnt do any damage. Every once in a while ill grab a couple M&Ms or east some other junk food/fast food. Dont worry about. If your that worried check the calories and see how well it fits in with what your goals are. I have learned that I can have a cheat meal 2-3 times a week without derailing my goals.

    I just picked up a bag of dry beans, the 16 bean blend. Those are hitting the water to soak over night, then a quick cook, but not to the point of mush, then chilled for a bean salad! Beans are bomb! like eating tiny little bits of meat...
