Question What are your favorite HEALTHY Snacks?

I'm looking for ideas to pack with my lunch to eat throughout the day. I want to know what your favorite daily snacks are!

I have trouble sometimes trying to figure out what to buy at the store.

    Thanks!

how's the beef jerky? I was thinking of trying that.

    Is it REALLY tough?

    A lot of salt?

    Quality protein?

I make it myself. Look at the recipe thread as there is a recipe there to make it at home.

Buffalo jerky is supposed to be the best quality. It is also a bit pricey.

bananas of course, and two of my new favorites- figs and dates. If you like fig newtons you gotta try just figs- you can get them in the aisle right beside raisins.

non-processed almond butter, and peanut butter are my 2 staple snacks when i'm offshore, some canned tuna. At home my favorite snack has become chocholate brownies.

Now, before you jump on me about the brownies, it comes from:

    http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=6321151

on a personal note from that recipe.. the casein makes a HUGE difference in the moisture of the brownies. I also use soy milk instead of the 1/3 cup of water. It does add a few carbs 5g (since I follow the Keto diet, carbs are the main think i watch), but it also adds a bit extra protein 3g, and 1g of non saturated, non tf fat. The soy milk makes a big difference in the flavor and moistness of them I've found.

Yes, maybe I used the wrong terminology. Okay, "small meals". Better?

Let' see- nuts, fruit, sugar-free yogurt. Usually, though, I just eat a regular meal, if I'm hungry enough to snack.

    Smile my snacks

I'm really digging this trail mix from trader joe's: Almond Pistachio tart cherry mix. I also get protein bars there for pretty cheap. I also eat rice cakes with peanut butter - but I'm craving NUTELLA on them. Any one know where to get it?

    Snacks...

I keep a can of unsalted almonds on my desk, along with cans of tuna, kashii granola bars, and I bring a cooler with hardboiled eggs, whey powder, and leftovers from whatever clean meal I cooked the day before. Apples ,celery, carrots and the occasional protein bar as well.
    No retreat! No surrender!
