    Calculating TDEE problem (daily activity level)

    I got a new job, and it's basically physical labour for anywhere between 8-12 hours for 3-4days a weeks
    On the days off of work, the only real exercise I get is when I'm at the gym.

    These are my options for my activity level (from myfitnesspal)


    Sedentary: Spend most of the day sitting (e.g. bank teller, desk job)
    Lightly Active: Spend a good part of the day on your feet (e.g. teacher, salesman)
    Active: Spend a good part of the day doing some physical activity (e.g. waitress, mailman)
    Very Active: Spend most of the day doing heavy physical activity (e.g. bike messenger, carpenter)


    Before I got the job it was Sedentary because I didn't do any/little activity.
    Would it still be Sedentary because I'm only working 3-4days a week then laying around the other days, or would you guys suggest Light Activity?

    Yeah, I go to the gym 6 nights a week, including work.

    It doesn't really matter which activity level you choose, as it's only an estimate anyways. Just pick one and monitor your weight, adjusting your caloric intake as necessary in accordance to your goals.

    You could always eat more on workdays and less on off days. Give or take 400-500 calories.
