"The club said Martinez was expected to return to pitching in four to six weeks. It didn't specify at what level. The longer Martinez goes without pitching, the more pitching at a Minor League level he is likely to need. "

fcuk pedro he gave us one good year! then a bad year and 2 trips to the DL, then only 5 starts last year now this BS. He is done, hes too old and frail to handle the stress of a full season. I hope maine and perez step it up cuz im not expecting much from ****ty pelfrey or equally old/frail el duque. Good thing johan is lights out

i wish they didnt trade kazmir for terrible victor zambrano a few years back he was a home-grown ace. I even wish they didnt get rid of brian banister because hes solid for the royals.
also why the hell did they just throw away ruban gotay??? He was a good bench player who could hit and who knows hes only 23 i think he could turn into a decent 2nd baseman considering castillo can barely move these daysLast edited by physqoparty; 04-02-2008 at 06:57 PM.

Yeah I have no clue what the Mets front office was doing with the Zambrano trade. That is like trading an A+ young stud prospect pitcher for a C Major League. Not only that but Kazmir is really good in the AL. But he would be even better in the NL. He pitches alot of pitches because he strikes alot of people out. That would be a big deal in the NL considering the pitchers in the NL leave games earlier because of having no DH. That was just a horrible trade.

i think maine will step up and win close to 20 games this year. He was up and down last year a lil especially after the all-star break but when hes on hes lights out. He can strike people out and he can go deeper into games than alot of guys. Personally i think he was sad bc he didnt make the all-star team and he pitched like **** because he was feeling sorry for himself.
EDIT: kaz matsui is out with an "anal fissure" WTF?????? He sucked so much on the mets.."noones built like you, you design yourself"
