Very good post... something to write down for future references. I leave for Air force basic in September
Thanks.
BTW- - I know they do random testing for illegal drugs, when do they test for supplements such as the ones listed above?Imagine you're trying to jam your pork sword into some braindead sorostitute's meat wallet that night. You think you can just walk away from that?

Would you happen to know offhand if any common supplements have any of those in them?
I use Purple Wraath, White Flood, Green Mag...I doubt they contain anything on that list, but just wondering. From what I've heard mostly anything but steroids is ok.
EDIT:: To ndiguy, AF drug testing isn't exactly random. By "random" it's more like "if we have any hint you might test positive for something we will randomly test you." That applies more to illegal drugs than workout supps though.YGBSM

I have been looking at this stuff for a long time. Like all of you, there is stuff out there i would love to take but don't want to lose my career over it. I came across another website that list a bunch of different compounds. check out the link below and it might help some of you out. To my understanding, the only way it is considered a banned supplement is if the compound match exactly. Reason I say this is because there are a lot of clones out there that look the same but are slightly different. EX. halodrol-50 and h-drol. Hope this helps some of you.

According to the Sheppard AFB page, these are the ones that are banned. However, they are just ingredients, so any supplement that contains them is illegal. Im talking with the Area Defense Counsel, Military Justice, Health and Wellness Center, and the Drug Reduction Program to try and get the list to make sure none has been added, or taken off (according to people I work with, the list is constantly changing).
When they pop you for a random Urine Analysis they only check for drugs like pot, coke, ecstasy, and all of those other narcotics that fall into the category.

A friend of mine actually ended up getting the entire list directly from the urine analysis lab on base, if that helps you out any. and i've looked at the list and it is about 10 times the size of the list previously posted on this forum. the ones posted on this forum are only those that are precursors to Andro (Androsteneidione). there are many more substances out there that are precursors to other synthetic and naturally occurring hormones. for example; Androstadiene-3 is the active ingredient in 1,4 AD, looks similar to others on that list but is infact a precursor to Bolderone, a steroid originally made for animals and only vets are licensed to use. if you test positive for this you will most likely be sitting in jail until they give you the boot. hope this helps someone.

I agree. AFPortal should have a list that gets updated in the health and wellness section, but yet it doesn't. The safest thing you can do is bring a listing of what you want to take to your med squadron and they should be able to give you a thumbs up or down. Even better you should send them an e-mail stating questioning of wanting to take a certain supplement and wait for the reply. This way you will have physical proof that you were approved to take said item. Unfortunately you also have to look at what AFSC you hold. In mine I'm "not sapposed to take anything other than ibprofen or tylenol...if I get a cold I'm sapposed to check in with med squadron to make sure what I take does not cause any form of drowsyness. I can still take lifting supplements and most sol at gnc and here on bodybuilding.com are gtg but you have to make sure as stated above med sq clears it before you take it. For any of you who are over 30 - remember when we could even take ephederine and pound the weights for 3 hours...it's a whole new military now a days. Still love it but I miss the days of being able to take supplements responsibly and that be enough now everything is monitored to a certain extent. Hope all take this for what it is and stay safe if you have to go OCON.

Does anyone know what the AFI is that governs supplements?
I am considering taking Monsterdrol... will this be Okay or not, does anyone know?
ATM I do NOT need to take Monsterdrol or superdrol, however I have a friend who takes it, and I believe the stuff is legit - it does help with muscle gain.
Monsterdrol is a designer steroid and I looked at its chemical composition and it does differ from whats on the list on this thread - nothng matches exactly from what I can see, but I need anohter set of eyes to look at it
Chemical comp for m-drol is:
2a, 17a-dimethyl-5a-androst-3-one-17b-ol

Here is a list that the Navy kind of put out. It hasn't actually been pushed out to everyone. I had to go ask my LPO for a copy. Also these are not banned. Actual wording is "List of supplements/identifiers to avoid". They are saying it is because people are false positive testing for methamphetamine but I think has to do with heart attacks that have been had by people taking products with DMAA in them.
Identifiers: Methylhexaneamine, Methylhexanamine, Geranamine, Geranium Oil, Geranium Oil Extract, DMAA, Forthane, Forthan, Floradrene, 4-methyl-2-hexanamine, 4-methylhexan-2-amine.
Product (Distributor): Jack3d (USPlabs), OxyElite Pro (USPlabs), Hemo-Rage Black Ultra Concentrate (Nutrex Research), C4 Extreme (Cellucor), Rezolution (LG Sciences), Liquid Clenbutrx Hardcore (VPX), Heat Accelersted (Magnum), CryoShock (Neogenix), RedLine Black On Blue V2 (VPX), Motivate (Anabolic Innovations), M5 Extreme (Cellucore), Lipo 6 Black Hers (Nutrex Research), Anarchy Covalex (VPX), SSIN Juice (BioRhythm), 1,3 Dimethylamylamine (PrimaForce, BCS Labs, ***********), Adrena-G (Serious Nutrition Solutions), Ripped Freak (PharmaFreak Technologies), Hemodrene (Nutrabolics), Swagger (Man), Velocity (Neogenix), Quake 10.0 (SciVation), Trim Down (Muscle Gauge Nutrition), AmphetaLean Extreme (Beast Sports Nutrition), NL-Octrain (No Limits Lab), Muscle Spike (Muscle Fortress), Black Cats (Applied Nutriceuticals), Code Red (MuscleMeds), Noxipro (CTD Labs), Geranamine-Fat Loss (Giant), Pure DMAA(1,3-Dimethylamylamine) (Numerous Suppliers, 1.M.R. BPI Rx-6
I bought the Rx-6 on Ft. Lewis in December 2011 during my leave.. and I've been steady taking it since then.. the bottle is almost done. So.. wth.. am I going to piss hot and get kicked out of something??!!!...
Why do people ask how you accomplished everything and when you tell them what you did they come up with so many excuses why they CAN'T do it..?? CAN'T doesn't EXIST to me anymore! you mean you WON'T!
