We seem to spend so much time talking about what supplements to take and what to do in and out of the gym to increase our strength and build muscle but I rarely see anyone talking about what not to do. Lets all try to list things that we should stay away from while bodybuilding. I'm gonna start out with alcohol. Maybe its just me but everytime I drink too much it takes me out of the gym for at least a few days. I still go but I have no energy to do anything. If you're a drinker and you go to the gym try to stop drinking for a month or so and see how much better your results will be. There are tons of other things to not do so lets hear em'.

DONT checkout hot girls when doing squats or bench.....from experience, ull end up dropping the bar cuz ur not concentrating. just remember ur in the gym to BUILD muscle...a nice a$$ on a hot girl doesnt build muscle (it actually sorta worsens it).
i was doing bench once, and some fine a$$ woman decided to bend over right in front of me and i looked and BOOM....dropped a 170 pound bar on myself. i couldnt breathe...i got up, looked at her and said "yea thanks". she looked at me like "wtf??"..

everything in moderation, alchol is in there.
people who pretend to be buff and try to lift to much on the bench press but dont have a spotter and dont wrap their thumbs around the bar and drop it onto their chest.
IE, people who dont safely practice their lifts and risk to bodily harm to themselves and others.

One thing people should definately not do is to do more weight than you can handle, form or the amount of weight.

not wrapping thumb puts less pressure on youre wrists, i personally dont have any problem with my wrist when benching so i wrap my thumbs around, i tried not wrapping it once, was kinda scary at first, but nothing happened , my trainer doesnt wrap his thumb either, and his never dropped the bar on him either

i'll elaborate....
only use a belt if you are maxing out on the squat or deadlift and a belt would make you feel a little safer
don't train like arnold for more than a couple weeks unless you are on the same drugs as he was and have great genetics like he does. Where the **** did i say don't train hard?
for good measure...
don't train like a pussy

Don't think that just because you worked out for the past five days that its okay to take five days off. It sounds stupid but I hear it from people all the time.... "hey I haven't seen you at the gym in a while", answer: "well I've been working out hard for the past month and now I'm taking a break". That doesn't work. You stop working out, you start loosing your gains.

Dont hold your breath during repetitions or sets, keep your breathing controlled and regular. If you dont know when to inhale or exhale, ask someone who might.
Dont start taking supplements before you've improved your diet to the point where it cant be made any better without them, nor until you understand their full effects.I'm out to prove that vegetarians can be body builders too.
I'm also a loser and would appreciate positive reputation for being so nice and stuff.
