TTewell's Anabolic Xtreme Mass FX POWERLIFTING LOG!

    MASS FX:

WITHIN YOUR FIRST FEW DAYS: Mass FX™ starts to kick in. You should be feeling the Alpha Male mentality. Workouts will be more intense and recovery will be quicker.

AFTER 1 WEEK: You will notice muscle pumps and hardness like you have never experienced before. Your strength is now beginning to increase. Your veins are starting to pop. You can feel that Mass FX™ is working and you like it!

AFTER 2-3 WEEKS and Beyond: The pro-anabolic optimizer is in full effect stimulating lean muscle mass and strength gains. Your muscles look and feel dramatically harder, stronger and fuller. Your strength is increasing beyond what you expected from an all natural product that doesn’t have the nasty side effects of pro-hormones. By now you know that Mass FX™ works and your gains have only begun. While you finish out your 6-8 week cycle, each week your muscles will become stronger, harder, fuller and bigger. Your workouts will continue to intensify, your Alpha Male mentality will continue to dominate and your test levels will be like nothing you have ever naturally felt before. Welcome to the world of Mass FX™.

    Sex:Male

    Height:6'1

    Weight:258

    Body type:Meso-Endomorph

    Est. BF% :17%
Training experience :I have been training for about 7 years. Very seriously for about 4 years. I have competed in 6 powerlifting competitions and my best total is 1900 lb with a 775lb squat, a 600lb bench press, and a 535lb deadlift. I currently hold one national teenage bench press record with 540 lb and 4 state Junior state records with the aforementioned lifts.

Current Training Schedule / Protocol (as much detail as possible): I use an extremely uncommon two day a week split. Wednesday is my upper body day with the emphasis placed on the bench press and the supporting upper body muscles. Friday is a lower body day in which either a squat or deadlift is performed with maximum weight and the accessory exercises include work for the lower back, hamstrings, abs, and quads.

Current supplements :**** BAD ASS MASS, **** JUNGLE WARFARE, **** RESTORE, ANABOLIC XTREME STIMULANT X, **** N'GORGE, **** PRIMED, **** REGENERATION-X, OPTIMUM NUTRITION GOLD STADARD WHEY PROTEIN, UNIVERSAL ANIMAL PAK, NOW FOODS FLAX OIL, OPTIMUM NUTRITION FISH OIL

Current Nutrition and Macros : 400 grams of protein, about 200 grams of fat, 500-600 grams of carbs per day. about 5500 kcal per day. I consider myself one of the few powerlifters to take pride in my nutrition. I am currently bulking and have gone from 245 to 258 in 5 weeks.

    Current Daily water intake:1.5 gallons

Short Term Goal: Bulk to 280 pounds and win APF Junior Nationals on April 14, 2007 with a total of 2150 pounds or more at the 275lb weight class.

Long Term Goal:Become a world class powerlifter in the WPO and win the WPO Arnold Classic. And a 2800 lb total.

ANY and ALL Prescription / Non-Prescription / Recreational drugs (for the last 60 days): NONE

Supplement history ):**** N'GORGE, **** PRIMED, **** REGENERATION-X, OPTIMUM NUTRITION GOLD STADARD WHEY PROTEIN, UNIVERSAL ANIMAL PAK, NOW FOODS FLAX OIL, OPTIMUM NUTRITION FISH OIL, BIOTEST ALPHA MALE, BIOTEST HOT-ROX, ZMA, **** JUNGLE WARFARE, **** RESTORE, METHYL 1 TEST and ANABOLIC XTREME SUPERDROL, ANABOLIC XTREME STIMULANT X, ANABOLIC XTREME RETAIN

Here is the deal, ever since start my current job at UPS I have dropped 30 lbs and my strength has gone down dramatically with it. I just got done with a short 2 week usage of **** BAM, JW, and Restore. It gave me amazing results. 7 lbs of mass in 2 weeks and new pr's. To be fair I have dropped all 3 of these supplements and have started mass FX. Needless to say I have very high expectations of where this will take my strength back up to.

    Primary Objectives:
STRENGTH- Weekly PR's are needed to be successful.
Recovery- from both work and lifting balls out 2 days a week
Mass- lean preferably but who cares? I need my weight back up.

This log is going to take a look primarily at my training and how I feel recovery wise in the days afterwards. More info later along with before pics.

    flyes
    high reps
    calf raises
    LEG EXTENSIONS!
And talk of vascularity and/or striations

I felt my first effects about 8 hours after my first dose. I got a weird tingly/numb feeling in my butt, hamstrings, and lower back. More of an annoyance than anything but if it is this strong that i feel SOMETHING in the 1st day then I can't wait to get rolling!

Went into the gym today feeling great. I ran out of **** Primed so I had to improvise with NO-xplode :-/ but the intensity was insane and i attribute that partially to Mass fx!

bench press with doubled mini bands (adds 80 lbs at the top and 40-50 lbs at the bottom)
    135-5, 225-1, 315-1, 335-1 40 POUND PR! 350- miss 2 inches off chest

    Seated cable rows
    200-10, 245-5, 290-5 20 lb pr 315-3 then drop 245-6

DB Floor presses with palms facing
    75s-5, 95-5, 115-5, 125-4 PR

Last time I did DB floor presses was in mid-October and my best set was 87-8.

Box squats onto a cushion thing. 1 inch below parallel and paused.
135-10, 225-5, 315-3, 405-1, 495-1, 545-1 new exercise new PR, wrapped my knees 585- miss, put on squatting briefs 585-1 easy

    shrugs with trap bar
    135-10, 225-10, 315-5, 405-5, 495-5, 545-5 pr i guess

roman chair sit ups bodyweight- 2 sets of 8, 25 lb on chest- 5

    Reverse Hyperextensions
    180-10, 270-10, 360-10, 450-8 large PR

    Glute Hamstring Raises
    highest setting- 8 reps, back inclined 7.5 inches-8, add 25 on chest-5

Still improvising the the pre-workout supps cuz I'm out of Primed AND stim x! So I took hyperdrive and Ultimate orange.
On the box squats, 4 weeks ago I did 500 on a hard box and this week I did 545 off a cushion (makes it harder) so i'm improving. Baby steps back to my old squat numbers.
On the shrugs I've never gone heavier than 455 for 10 so that's a big PR. On the reverse hyperextensions last week I did 430-4 and this week it was up to 450 lbs for 8 reps!! Very very happy with that.
I know any bodybuilders reading this will wonder what Reverse hypers and glute ham raises are so I'll put up pics later.

Here are a couple pictures that i forgot to put up on this log. The 1st one is a pic of an 825 lb squat attempt. The lift got turned down, I was about an inch above parallel but came up easy with it. The 2nd pic is my first ever 600 lb bench

I promised an explanation of some of the exercises Iused so here are a few. The first pic is the band bench press. I set it up as shown but with one band doubled up per side. This increases the weight as the bar is lifted as well as the effect of the bands wanting to throw the bar through you.
The 2nd pic is the dumbbell floor press. It's just a bench press laying on the floor and letting your elbows fully touch the floor. I use this exercise with my palms facing. This puts more stress on the triceps and shoulders and takes some off the pecs. It also forces the lats to work hard to stabilize the weight. BTW the pics are NOT me lol

    MORE PICS
The first 2 are pics of the glute ham raise. It's basically a bodyweight hamstring curl except it will kick your ass.
The next 2 pics are reverse hyperextensions. There is momentum used on this exercise and the weight moves like a pendulum but to get the contraction you need to try to stop it at the top.

    bench press warm ups
    135-10, 225-10, 335-3

    4 board press
    405-3, 455-1, 485-1, 505-1 30 LB PR! 525- miss

    pull ups
4 sets to failure 8 reps on first set, 1 rep pr

high incline (70 degrees) db presses
    65-10, 115-6 2 rep pr, 5

Ok I'm in love with mass fx. 30 lb pr on my 4 board! I'm surprised I'm getting strong as hell. A 4 board is some boards placed on your chest to reduce the range of motion by 6 inches. It's used to strengthen the lockout.
The horizontal pulling is still pretty pathetic for having a pretty strong back lol. But all the weight felt like a joke today!!!!
I didn't think I'd ever say this but I had a pretty good muscle pump going on there. There ya go, a bodybuilding-ish comment lol.
I CANT WAIT FOR MY NEXT WORKOUT!

I weighed in today at 262 That's a 4 lb gain in a week and I think I'm looking a little leaner too so it must be fat free mass. Mass fx is helping me return to my "monster" status. Recovery is almost immediate and I can't wait to get back in the gym and rack up more PR's. I haven't had any desire or PR's in several months and just went in to attempt to maintain or maybe get a 5 lb pr if everything goes perfect.
As far as side effects go the tingliness has subsided completely but I have noticed a small amount of acne. Nothing real noticable but I haven't had acne since I was 15! A small price to pay for large PR's.

Ultra wide sumo deadlifts (feet past collars)
    245-5, 435-1, 525- miss a few times, 505- miss

Glute ham raises with 2 mini bands, and inclined
    inclines 3 inches-5, 4.5 in-5, 6 inches-5 3 inch PR

    Reverse hypers
    180-10, 360-5, 450-5, 540-5, 600-10!!!!!!!!!!! unbelievably large PR

    pulldown ab crunches
    80-10, 105-10, 115-10

chest supported rows light 4 sets of 6

I'm a little disappointed with no PR on the main exercise. I hadn't done that exercise in a year and forgot it takes a couple weeks to get back up to max weight. The assistance exercises I was impressed with. I got into it and had a battle with another guy in the team on the reverse hypers and we both pushed to the limit. The 600 set was messy form but I know I'm storng because I only did 450 for 8 last week!!!!! After that I went light and spent more time coaching a couple of guys more than anything.

Hey, enjoying your review so far. I was just wondering what the age requirement was for the mass fx. Thanks

It is 18. If you're getting gains without it I'd probably suggest waiting until you plateau though. This is some super powerful stuff

Show the powerlifter some love guys!!!!

Haven't been getting much sleep here lately. 5-6 hours on average. Had a rough day at work then immediately after stayed there for an interview for a management position, then once i got out i had to high tail it to school, took an hour nap, went to the other job, THEN TOOK THE STRESS OUT ON THE WEIGHTS!

    Bench press
    135-10, 225-10, 350-1

added a 5 board on my chest
    405-3, 495-1, 525-1, 545-1 FREAKISHLY EASY 30 LB PR!

DB floor presses with palms facing
    85-8, 105-8, 125-7 3 rep PR

    wide parallel grip seated rows
    145-10, 190-10, 235-10

I should note that i tried 565 but i couldnt get it all the way out into position even with a hand off so i just passed on it.
I took my shirt off for the last set of floor presses basically just to show off my freakish physique The weight is definitely up more but I'll weigh in tomorrow and update.
I FEEL LIKE I'M ON DECA! LOL (if you don't get it don't even ask lol)

I'd have to say I'm getting a bit leaner and I'm liking the way i look. I've been walking around the house naked more often
Mass fx may be making me too massive for common household items now! I just sat down on the toilet then moved a little bit and SNAP!!!!!!!!!! And half the toilet seat fell to the floor! LOL!

cushion box squats an inch below parallel
135-10, 225-5, 315-3, 405-1, put belt on 495-1, wrapped knees 585-1 40 LB PR put on briefs no wraps 635-1 50 LB PR! , 675- miss leaned forward

sumo deadlifts (for form and speed)
    225- 3 singles, 315- 6 singles

    roman chair abs bodyweight-10, 25 on chest-5, 40-5, 50-5 10 lb pr

    pull thoughs with cable
    100 lb- 8, 120-8, 140-8

    face pulls 90-8, 125-8, 135-8

All in all a good workout. A few very nice PR's from only 2 weeks ago. I backed off on the assistance work except for abs. Next week is the moment of truth. I max out on my competition bench (with shirt) on wednesday. And then on friday i max out on competition deadlift. I'm long overdue for a shirt bench PR. So it should be real interesting. I know I'm optimistic about it!

It's time for pictures of the mysterious relative unknown exercises I use!

The first picture is of face pulls with a tricep rope. In my opinion this is the BEST exercise for the mid back/ lower traps. Yes even for bodybuilders.

The next 2 pics are of cable pull throughs. They hit the lower back, hamstrings and glutes but I really feel them work well in the glutes.
