# Thread: how many ounces of chicken breast

1. ## how many ounces of chicken breast

Does any one have an idea how big a 8 or 4 ounce chicken breast would be?

I've been trying to add these as a part of my diet, but I'm unsure how to measure them. Usually when they cook up they are about 5 inches long and 2 to 3 inches wide. I don't have a scale, and even if I did I wouldn't be sure how to measure them because they are frozen.

Hope someone can help

2. Uncooked, 3-4 oz. is about the size of a standard deck of playing cards.

3. Dice up an average size breast and see how much can fit into a measuring cup.

1 cup = 8 ounces

Use that to estimate how many ounces it is.

Also, one ounce is equal to the size of a ping-pong ball. When you're eating out it can help to guess how much food you've had.

4. okay thanks that helps.
