    Body shape

I have wide hips so I have a square shaped mid section and compared to a V shaped mid section it doesnt look very attractive as at this current stage I have some stomach fat. Does anyone know any bodybuilders or whoever that are muscular/ ripped with wide hips/ square mid section so I can get an idea of what I would look like if I ever get to that stage.

Also Other than getting wider upper body to get the illustion of a V shape is there anything else that can be done?

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but if those pictures are current, you losing 15 pounds would help your body shape.

You need to drop body fat to get a V-taper. You look to be in the 20-25% bf range.

Your love handles, once shaved off a bit (fatloss), will fix your problem.

I used to be in a similar situation. Pics in body space. Take a look

As I’m getting leaner, the V is starting to show.

I’m still far from where I need to be but my back is a solid V already.

Be sure to choose a program that has lat pull down in it, it will widen your lats/back and help with your goals. Fierce 5 is a great program. I just recently started on it and loving it so far.

The others have already got on it but you need to keep in mind that leaning out will make a big improvement in your physique. We get a lot of questions from people who are unhappy with their body shapes but admit they still have a good amount of weight to lose. The answer really is to be patient and continue to chip away at the fat.

Yeh i appreciate the advice but, I can feel my hips through my fat and it is wider than my ribs. Would that mean the V shape would still be there once ive lost those 15lbs? Also are you able to tell If im lacking muscle from the pics?

You're fat, you have good 30+ lbs to lose... Lose the fat and lift some weights to build some muscle and your physique will drastically improve.
All it takes is consistency, effort, proper nutrition, good programming, and TIME.

Don't be upset with the results you didn't get from the work you did not do.

You'll be on a good training program during this time, I hope. Putting on muscle is the second part of the equation.

You just gotta lose weight. The hourshape glass gets more dramatic, the more fat you hold on the sides of your stomach.
Mine was significantly worse until i dropped all the fat on my waist.

You will also be putting on some muscle during that time so that will offset some of it.

You can also take some diet breaks. 6 months cutting is no joke. I did it but it’s no joke.

Spinach, carrots and santafe whole grain tortillas and chicken (sams has it) are my friends.
