    Rowing for cardio?

My gym has a concept 2 rowing machine, how good would this be for cardio? I usually do about 1500-2000m on it.

Rowing is a good cardio, but not as good as the elliptical or treadmill.

    Treadmills suck.

If you're going to do that type of activity, take it outside. There's a pretty substantial difference between moving your legs to keep from falling off a moving conveyor belt and actually having to move your body from point A to point B.

^ Yeah I never use the treadmill. We have a 5.5 mile loop around campus or basketball courts for me to get cardio in.

Running outside isn't always an option for places like the midwest

I pretty much hate treadmills too but they come in handy sometimes. I wish I had one.

OP: Rowing is a great form of cardio. I haven't seen to many Fat rowers in my day.

treadmills = boring, I use mine at home when I dont have nothing else to do.

at the gym I try to use anything else but them. I rather walk outside than on a treadmill.

I never tried the rowing machine at the gym I may do that this weekend.

I love rowing, but haven't done it in years.

Concept2 makes some of the best rowers in the business.

    Row!
