    I am in a really weird place right now. It's like I keep thinking I will weigh myself every morning expecting to see high 150's...and it is always low 160's. In fact, 2 weeks ago I weighed myself and I was 160 (lowest I have seen), and since then the lowest I have been is 161.4. Granted, I know factors are involved like how much food is in yoru stomach, wheather you have gone to the restroom, water, etc... (assuming a morning weigh in).

    Even yesterday, after playing golf, walking 18 holes in 90 degree weather... I weighed myself in the afternoon and was like 166 and was like WTF.

    The body is a strange organism. I exercise, I eat healthy and keep calories low..but surprinsgly the weight doesn't seem to want to trim off. weird.

    same thing happened to me. i just kept cutting cals, now i'm trying a 2 week diet break to see if it lets my metabolism recharge

    Weighed in on Monday at 168lb!

    Have gone from 187 lb. Well on my way.

    Have started drinking ALOT of coffee from now until I finish my cut. It helps as my cals are low so I've got tons of energy, everything inside is flowing more (sh!t) and I've actually been concentrating in school rather than falling asleep!

    Know it's not good for me, but it's only temporary, so what the hey.

    I normally have good energy throughout the day. In the last 2-3 weeks while keeping my calories low, that is still the case...but lately in the last 2 weeks at night, I have been getting super tired...like last night I literally started falling asleep at my computer while trying to do some freelance.

    Would this be normal for someone only getting 1700 calories / day, or should it not matter if my energy level during the day is fine?

    Your buddy is using it's own resources as fuel as you're eating LESS Than your body needs. Completely normal. I've been downing coffee like a madman and I feel great.

    yea, I gave up caffeine 2 months ago...haven't turned back since...so I get about 5 hours of sleep a night and basically work 2 jobs on no caffeine , oh and try to workout too ha

    Well cutting is just no fun... It works if you make it work, and a lot of my lifts are higher than ever, but eating like this is annoying especially when you go out to eat a lot and there are very little low-cal options.


    I peaked at 180 this year and am down to 163 now and trying to get to 155 which is starting to feel old.


    Will never bulk again so hard that 10-15 pounds wouldn't be enough to get me beach ready.

    exact reason why I would rather get my bf% down now, even if I look like a bean pole, and do a slow bulk...just kind of worried of "blowing up" if I tried bulking only to cut later on.

    lol, looks like I'm out of action for a bit. A few days ago I woke up with my left eye all f*cked up. And also now I have a high fever and a sore throat and general flu-like symptoms.

    It's apparently the "viral" type of conjunctivitis (adenovirus) that doesn't have much treatment and lasts for 2-3 weeks. So I guess at this point I'm done trying to be shredded "by summer." I had about 5 lbs left to go before I hit my goal weight.

    Here's to hoping it clears up before 2-3 weeks from now. 2-3 weeks of having the flu... feels bad man :\

    I started my cut last days of january @ 205lbs I'm down to 185lbs now.
    20lb difference but not too much visual change. I still have stubborn fat on my chest,sides and lower abdomen is f*cking bitch, I can flex my top 2 abs and kinda see them but my lower stomach area looks pudgy, sh*t pisses me off.
    At least my legs and upper back are looking leaner though

    I thought I would be ripped @ 185lbs. looks like I won't look ripped until 170lbs or so. Is that a good estimate?
    I think I might just bring my weight down to the high 170s and go on a clean bulk for 2 years, maybe get up on that juicy juice after the first year of clean bulking

    anyway here's my progress pic @ 185lbs

    was having a dilema today at work..brought in a turkey sandwich and had nothing else to eat..still hungry. Was considering a raid on the free food pantry at work (glad I didn't) because my work brought in a mexican bar for a class, and its available to everyone now...so I put together a plate of grilled chicken strips, steak strips, small portion of beans, fruit, and a small salad.

    probably won't eat it all, since if I did with the turkey sandwich would probably be 500-600 calories I bet.
