    Increasing bicep peak

Over the last 6 months I've noticed a general increase in overall size of my arms, but I'm still lacking that peak I've been working towards. I've been doing my concentration curls, preacher curls, hammer curls, etc. but no results in terms of a heightened peak. And my diets always been pretty healthy. Am I doing something wrong? Also I heard the other day that peaks are more due to genetics.. and I'm really hoping this isn't entirely true

Train long head of Bicep by doing close grip barbell curls and close grip pullups.

When you do concentration curls squeeze your biceps on the positive, and lower 5 second negatives.. works well breh.

Peaks have a lot to do with genetics, but you can still get them regardless of your genes. I don't really do this exercise (Don't really care about peak, already have a decent one), but I was watching a video of this natural bodybuilder talking about how to get a good peak. He said that slow, controlled barbell preacher curls helped him get bicep peaks, contracting at about halfway to the top, then going down. He emphasized doing perfect form, slow reps, and contracting about halfway up (when your arm forms a 90 degree angle).

I have to disagree with you on this bro. You just have to concentrate more on your concentration curls like someone has stated earlier. I too had these egg shaped biceps but those are slowly changing. Try em !

    genetics
but you can try to maximize your peak as much as you genetically can by developing the long head more and getting a strong mind-muscle connection in your biceps..
Long head is responsible for the peak so close grip curls would work for that..as well as hammer curls..also stuff like concentration curls, preachers etc at the top of the movement just flexing hard and feeling that contraction can help to develop the peak a bit..

also on alternating db curls, going from that hammer grip at the start to supinated at the top, then at the top even twisting the wrist out helps to develop your bicep to it's full potential

Its crap but it is genetics, I havnt any real peak so my biceps look small in comparison to someone else who has smaller arms but a real exagerated peak, cant do much about it apart from get as big as possible.
The last three or four reps is what makes the muscle grow. This area of pain divides the champion from someone else who is not a champion. That's what most people lack, having the guts to go on and just say they'll go through the pain no matter what happens.
