Strength training > high intensity sport > hypertrophy focused training > endurance sport

There is no way a tough drop set of curls is harder than a 100m sprint done at maximum speed.

It's not "harder", but it IS more taxing on the CNS.

I've tried to find someone to do sport massage, but couldn't find anyone professional or who looked legit where I used to live.

Maybe I'll have better luck now that I live near a bigger city.

Crossfit burned me out more than anything else ever has.

5x per week + other physical activity daily for weeks and weeks.

Crossfit doesn't kill. People do. Wut?

guise. listen. heavy squats, oly compound lifts are literally cns killers.
doesnt matter if you do crossfit style (crazy ****, dont recommend it) or 3-5 reps too many sets, CNS can get fried in no time.
Just have to focus more on recovery, sleep, and some time off from the gym (like totally off or doing other exercises, low weight).

The swimming tiredness you got, was the fact you did too much in too short period, also you most likely didnt eat well enough, imo your recovery was ****, therefore you burned out.

Swimming is a very good recovery for oly lifters and other athletes who go too heavy with the weights (bench, deadlift, squats, snatch, c/j, etc). and by swimming i dont mean going ape**** phelps himself.. :P

No one doubts that heavy squats or oly lifts fry the CNS.

Swimming, track, cross country, wrestling... Each of those sport seasons lasted 3-4 months and left me burnt out and exhausted at the end of it and ready to stop and do something else. When competing, you have to go apesh!t like that dolphin motherf*cker Phelps otherwise you're just jackin off in the pool.

I ate more during swim season to maintain weight than any other sport season. I weighed 145-155 and I probably ate as much as I do now at 220.
