Would you travel halfway across the country to meet people from an internet forum?

I post a lot on another forum unrelated to bodybuilding. Both of them have a lot of testosterone involved. Last September a few dozen guys from that forum from all across the country got together in Alabama for a 3 day hunt, fish, bbq, shoot, drink party. It's happening again this September. I didn't go last year, but I mailed several dozen of my advertising calendars of scantily clad women to be given out to all the people in attendance.

Would you go halfway across the country to party with a bunch of people you have never met in person?

A lot of the people on this forum seem to be from the UK and elsewhere in Europe, anyway. I'm probably the only regular poster here besides you who isn't from the coast in the US, if I had to guess.

I've only mentioned black lives matter once on this forum but yes I'm definitely anti black lives matter. It's a racist political organization but I'll not say anymore as this isn't the place to discuss that kind of thing

I do some miscing, but only when the occasional philosophy thread comes along. The incel stuff there is very tiring.

Makes you think they themselves can't find a good woman and just enjoy a normal relationship.

The biggest eye roll to me there is the self-proclaimed intellectualism proffering some kind of worldview paradigm shift (replete with the proverbial sand kicked in the face of all the losers who don't already know, of course), which turns out to amount to nothing more than some kind of a podcast headline they heard 20 minutes ago and whose own argument they will be unable to summarize a week later.

It's like, do you not realize that many of the people on this forum went to college, have professional careers, some kind of unique skill, life wisdom of their own, etc.,?

It's from a duck hunting forum. Everyone hunts ducks, although the meet is several months before duck season. It's basically to shoot guns, eat food, drink beer and pass out in a field in Alabama for 2 nights in a row.

I am a massive nerd and always was, nothing to be ashamed of.

What bothers me way more is the comments other people give when you cut as a natty. "You look like Adrien Brody in the pianist".

They used to say "you look like a biker", "you look strong", "you look like you drink your milk" etc, and "can you open my bottle of water?"
