DEA supervisor sold semi-automatic rifles to Mexico’s Sinaloa Cartel

“Agents spying on Sinaloa Cartel associates traces two of their high powered, semi-automatic rifles to a surprising source- a supervisor with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

Joseph Michael Gill, tasked with rooting out traffickers during Americas deadliest drug crisis likely helped arm them during some of his 645 sales transactions on Gunbroker.com, according to court records.”

This is old news bro. Project Gunrunner guns were used in the murder of a border patrol agent as well. Sad.

Yes Obama Administration is filled with scandals like this. Yet every lefty will tell you it was a scandal free 8 years. LMFAO.

Turns out those guns were linked to several mass shootings.

To the DEA agent he's just making a private sale. It sounds like it's illegal for him to hold an FFL license ... Which is funny because if he had an FFL he would be required to do a background check and likely would have realized that the buyers were cartel members

The article implies that the purchaser was a resident of AZ and the DEA agent confirmed

"Gill said he didn't know the men were suspected drug traffickers and he did all that is legally required, checking the buyers' drivers' licenses, and verifying they were of legal age and lived in his home state of Arizona."
There's only one thing that can make or break this guy, and that is how hard it is to obtain these specific guns.

If it's difficult, he's guilty. If its not, he's a free man.

This is just one of the reasons why Mexico’s president doesn’t like Biden.

Trump and AMLO had a great relation that was built on mutual respect.

Obviously if he was “working with” the cartel, he did something illegal and that’s not because it’s an “innate law”.

    Criminal offence requires mens rea.
It depends on how difficult it is to get ahold of these specific guns.

It would be very suspicious if someone in the us started to sell to foreign countries f35 jets.

If you read the article he broke the law by selling hundreds of guns without a license.

He also bought guns for $632 and sold them for $1k, an obvious red flag near the border, something a DEA agent definitely knows. Let alone someone in his position in the DEA for over 15 years

IMO his sentence is fair. He’s just got community service, house arrest and probation.

The politicians who are the most against gun sales are usually gun dealers themselves. They just want to eliminate the competition.

    Are you retarded?

You think he should get a slap on the wrist for selling high powered to cartels so that they can continue to force their will on the people?

Good guns can take you out from afar vs a chitty ak-47.
