    My first supplement

    Hello,

I started going to the gym around 3 months ago. I've become regular and have seen some progress in terms of weight loss and strength. I am not taking any supplements but people have advised me to start Protein Shakes. I wanted to know if I should start them? Which supplement should I buy, someone suggested Nitrotech Whey Isolate but I don't know.

Also, I have pain in my neck and knee tendon. Will protein shakes help in strengthening them along with exercise?

Protein shakes are only necessary to supplement your diet. If you're getting enough protein from your regular food sources (most say at least 0.7g per lb of body weight, per day) you don't have any need or use for protein shakes.

I personally drink the NitroTech Whey Gold. The Double Rich Chocolate flavor is delicious. The strawberry flavor is also "decent".

Protein shakes aren't going to do anything to alleviate your neck and knee pain...

You're diet could definitely use some work, suggest checking out the stickies in the nutrition forum. Unless that's a very large piece of chicken and you are a fairly small person you are likely not getting enough protein. The sticky on calculating macros and TDEE should be your next stop.

Based off that diet I would say you calorie intake as whole is too low but protein is def. low. (Unless you weigh 60 pounds)

    Thumbs up Supplements

I have tried a few supplements, I usually use pre-work out, and lots of creatine to push through using this product. Can never have enough creatine for strength.

All about supplementing. I know I would never get the protein I would need without slamming back a few shakes a day.

If by ‘enough’ you mean 5g/day then sure.
