This may be difficult to believe, but I don't exclusively use Tinder just to get laid. Sometimes I enjoy going on innocent dates. This also avoids the whole body count discussion. I wasn't feeling the date but my mind was occupied with other things. People have off days. I'll give it a few more dates. She was attractive and smart, and could hold a conversation.

Sometimes just going out can be fun, enjoyed more than a few dates that ended up with no action but still a good time. Love going to Dave and Busters as an example, but not so fun alone.

I would imagine that if you do not intentionally exclude someone based on gender that Audio Education in and of itself would be pretty much inclusive to everyone anyways.

The more we try to be 'inclusive' the more we seem to separate people into groups.

You'd think so, but sadly unconscious biasing is rife in academia, and there are also the historic issues with oppression in the field too.
Only 5% of those that work in audio are womxn. Bit rubbish that.

I'm just interested on how we (as in my field of academia) can do more to ensure there's a level playing field.

If it's unconscious bias, and you are not aware of it, or even aware if you have it then how can you change it? Not arguing, but I always thought 'unconscious bias' is just a way people blame others for their own short comings.

You change unconscious bias through education.
There's a cycle, similar to the stages of competency, (unconsciously incompetent, consciously incompetent, consciously competent, unconsciously competent).
Take racism or homophobia, for example. Attitudes 20, 50, 100 years ago were pretty unanimous toward race and sexuality, but because it's so ingrained in the society, it becomes unconscious.

Gender is the same.
5% is due to a number of different things, but none of those things are due to the lack of want, or the lack of skills/qualifications.

It's a complex issue, but that's why it's an MA.

i'm alive! went rock climbing in an area with some world class climbing for my outdoor trips. socially draining from being an introvert but being constantly around people for 4 days straight, but it was a lot of fun.

Not just the fake challenges, when he claimed his car got broken in to and he had his drone, laptop, and other electronics stolen and 'a fan' set up a gofundme to replace the cost. Even though he makes a lot of money... he raised something like $10k from it. You know, leaving all that stuff laying on the back seat of your car while at a national park and away from your car is totally normal.

He gt called out on it, but said he filed a police report (which is mandatory when filing an insurance claim); I looked it up and could not find a police report for the incident (police reports are public records). I asked him to provide it, as proof of no fraud. He did not simply saying he would not break his own window... but $10k buys a lot of windows.

I posted proof from the police departments site that no such incident had occurred that day, or that week, at all fitting the description. He never responded.

Lol, we have people protesting in front of the prison because one of our yards has been on constant lock down for months and they cannot visit their relatives (no visits when on lock down).

Here is a crazy idea: Tell them to stop rioting and stabbing each other, then maybe they can stay off of lock down...

Prison should give out free lube and condoms. They'll quiet down fast.

We do give out free condoms (100% srs), yet sex is still against the rules and they get charged with rape if caught; even if both inmates consent, then they both get a rape charge.

We legit have condoms in the gym available upon request.
