Nilekyle Reviews - Dymatize ISO-100 Birthday Cake

First I would like to give a Shoutout to Dymatize for hooking me up with a tub whey. I have heard so many things about Dymatize's ISO-100 but never personally got to try it so I was beyond stoked once I finally got my hands on a tub. With flavors ranging from Birthday cake, Cinnamon Bun, Fudge Brownie, and Orange Dreamsicle – the choices are endless with ISO-100. I decided to go with Birthday cake:



I rate protein power on a three category scale: Mixability, Taste, Nutritional Profile. So without further ado, here is my breakdown of each category.

Mixibility – 9/10

When I have a protein shake, I always use almond milk. I picked up some unsweetened vanilla almond milk specifically for this taste test because I knew the hint of vanilla would compliment the cake flavor perfectly. To test the mixibility, I mixed one cup of almond milk with one scoop of whey:



When testing mixability I don't like to use a blender ball but put the scoop straight in the shaker cup and give it a couple shakes and see if theres any clumps left.



Right off the bat you can see how smooth it is. There is a thin layer coating the sides of the bottle but the shake itself remains clump-less. I poured the shake into a clear glass to see if I could visibly see any chunks within the shake.

ISO-100 mixes unbelievably well.

Taste - 9/10

I have tried a lot of protein flavors in the past (including some birthday cake flavors of different brands) and I must say Dymatize nails the flavor here. You can really taste the cake flavor and it's the perfect sweetness. I find some other brands of birthday cake flavored whey is jusst a glorified over sweetened vanilla – this is NOT the case with Dymatize. It is delicious!

One of my favorite things to do with protein shakes is to mix them in cereal. I checked my cupboard to see what I had and noticed I had some Rice Krispie Treats cereal. This sprung the amazing idea to try to replicate a cake but in cereal form. I took out some mini marshmallows, sprinkles, and poured the shake on top – it was beyond delcious.





Nutritional Profile - 10/10/

Now for the macros.



With 110cals per 30g scoop and 25g of protein, 0g of fats, and 1g of carbs you really can't do any better. ISO-100 is pure whey protein isolate with zero fillers. Each serving of ISO-100 also has 5.5 grams of BCAAs including 2.7 grams of L-Leucine, which are important nutrients in the body that may support protein with muscle growth and recovery.

The profile of ISO-100 is AMAZING.

Overall - 9/10

Overall, Dymatize ISO-100 has an AMAZING profile and tastes great. The birthday cake flavor is really on point and with such amazing macros and nutritional profile you really can't go wrong purchasing this protein

Yep. I do something similar with my ISO-100 Bday Cake:

- Enough Greek yogurt (vanilla)
- small amount of water
- Granola
- Organic Blueberries

Mix & Enjoy epic noms

I use plain greek yogurt with some sugar free cheesecake or vanilla pudding and then add protein powder. The pudding makes it very thick and then gives me more calories to enjoy on cereal. One day I will try Bday cake + cheese cake pudding + sprinkled donut crunch cereal

That's a good idea! I don't eat or buy much cereal, prefer oats/oatmeal but I do have a lot of that sf/ff pudding mix

5 days straight? Damn, lol. I've had the recipe I posted above for 3 days straight, it's too good to stop. I'll probably make more tonight, it's a great high protein, 2nd breakfast and late morning snack.
