I don't like their gameplay. To me its repetitive and senselessly time consuming. I played demon souls, got stuck on a level and never came back due to how they punish you for dying.

Good gameplay are games like Battlefront 2. That game is still going strong after couple of years, even with a rocky start.

I do have a great game idea that I want Fromsoftware to design. Its a mix of battlefront2 gameplay and heavy lore character design like Bloodborne, sekiro, etc. Its got major potential. I know this because I proposed an idea to a game studio before and they shot it down, only to be made and release 2 years later. The studio was the one who made a mobile game called KingdomRush. The game they made worked off my idea but didn't do so well because the gameplay sucked ass.

Battlefront 2 is actually a ton of fun...

It has a terrible rep because of it's launch debacle involving micro-transactions, which EA/DICE scrapped pretty quickly and revamped their system, since(we're talking 3 years now) then the game has been great.

It's still one of the most beautiful games in existence, the landscapes are fuarking breath taking especially on high-ultra settings @ 1440p/4k.

The gun play is fun, the vehicles are fun, and none of the special characters are insanely OP.

DICE did a good job turning the game around, much like Ubisoft turned R6:Siege around after a rocky launch.

I mean, its not terribly bad.

But it could use a lot of improvements to make it more fun. Sure, Ill admit upfront that I'm not good at the game, but that doesn't prevent me from recognizing something good from bad.

Imo, the game play mechanics of Fromsoftware is its only weakness. The art, world, and lore are nothing short of amazing. And they proved it again with this new Elden game, with the designs focused on Skyrim/Prince of Persia like lore.

Both of these games are comparable when they are being played in the 3rd person view.

The different between the two is that bfs' mechanics feels much more fluid and complicated. This may be due to the fact the bf must be in point because it's a multiplayer game, otherwise players would leave the game.

Another thing to consider is that fromsoftware may be a much smaller team. What they've been able to do with the team is nothing short of amazing, but it cannot compete with bf2 in terms of fighting mechanics.

Gfx looked a bit last gen and I honestly thought it looked stylistically bland, at least compared to what I typically expect from FS.

I’m reading that this is an old internal thing from at least a year ago. That said, graphics have never been a priority for From so I’m not expecting anything super next gen.

Yea this a year old apparently and rumored summer 2022 as a release window because of the pandemic So I’m not sure it’s indicative of anything at all really lol. But still funny something finally leaked.

That dragon looked very Game of tronesque, wonder if thats influence of GRRM. Looks like magic is a bigger element than other games maybe... hard to tell from a low quality leak, but graphics looked just ok.

Not quite sure i’d say ‘never been a priority’. FromSoft’s PS4 titles are all graphically impressive, imo.

Regardless, i’ve watched the trailer a few more times now and what I will say is the music is great, and the narrator is pretty awesome too. 10/10 for audio elements.

Well it can go a tad deeper when it comes to builds. Weapon move sets, 1hd vs 2hd. I was running a pvp build in DS3 with the Black Knight UGS. It felt good and fulfilling somewhat mastering that weapon in combat and wrecking in fight clubs. Like it felt great. Eg. It's strong r2 attack that winds up you can get an additional hit in just before the final hit by unlocking the camera and rotating as you slam the tip of the sword into the ground which connects to the opponent damaging and stunning them just enough for you to land the upward gg slash.
Personally i love the combat but i do have a friend that just cant get into it so I understand. Although he did actually enjoy Bloodborne which surprised me and him. Idk i think it's just preference.
I never played the Nioh games and apparently it's very similar some say the combat is better some say just as good. Come to think of it the only souls like games I've played are the souls games and i have fond memories of Dark Souls 1 so i guess i am biased.

Lmao if you like shooters and don't play/haven't played Battlefront 2. It's a REALLY good shooter even if you aren't into Star Wars. It looks incredible and SOUNDS incredible too.

Looks like there is sneaking mechanics looking at the trailer, unless that was only for cinematic purposes. In DS1 you could somewhat sneak up (really, it's walking slowly) and backstab mobs.

Hopefully it doesn't overpower the game and the whole game becomes a sneaking mission.
