Well....my parents gave me that screen name.
I have no clue why I used my real name back when I started taking up some bandwidth here but this is the only forum where I've made that error.
All other forums I'm 'chulaivet1966'.
On youtube it's just 'chulaivet'
I wish I could change it here but that's not possible.

I wanted just TeTe but someone had it already so I threw an X in front of it. It's my username on Sherdog. I chose that because originally was swayed to make an account here by some posters on Sherdog so I figured they'd recognize me in the misc. Turns out I never really bothered posting in the misc and only came back when I was actually getting into lifting seriously.
As far as the screen name... it's one of my favorite boxers.Age: 42

Hit me up on Sherdog.. TeTe

Same, I would have a hard time calling him Jeff IRL. BTW OS thinking of getting fired up tonight if you wanna call later.
I lived in a downstairs apartment with my Wife when we were 1st married, upstairs neighbors were a female couple, I couldn't stand them. However they had a beautiful dog (some kind of boxer/terrier mix) named Bando that I really liked.Don't put that on me Ricky Bobby, don't you ever put that on me.

Gabbar is just a name I think is cool. No relationship to anything in my real life.
Got it from the movie character Gabbar Singh in the epic 1970s Indian film Sholay. Gabbar Singh is a sadistic criminal bad guy. One of the most iconic villians in Bollywood.
edit: I just learned from googling that the movie character was based on a real life bandit who cut off the noses of policemen.

When I moved to Washington for college I lived alone off campus. I was pretty young because I was emancipated and finished high school at 16. I was pretty lonely and made friends with the snails that kept trying to eat my little vegetable garden. I built a little town and grew foods they liked. It was like toys r us for snails + a mini town which created the idea for snailsrus

I like it. I do something similar for the local rabbits. My girlfriend thinks I'm nuts.
Anyways... supramax is just short for supramaximal which means greater than maximal. It's an exercise intensity that whips you into shape super fast and maintains a high level of aerobic and anaerobic fitness for a minimal time investment.

My OG username was "Fiend_73".
If I didn't lift after 2 days I would start getting lifting cravings and get real b*tchy- like "fiending" for dope but for weights. 73 for my birth year but " '73 " was taken and the " _ 73" was chosen.
I also had a tendency to go a little ape sh*t in the gym with my training style, the most amount of pain in the least amount of time.
Years after while being on here I had made a complete transformation from fat slob who lifts to competing in drug tested bb'ing shows, plus the usual (hopefully) maturation and wisdom growth that comes with aging. I had beat my personal demons and tamed "Fiend".
I asked the former head mod "Fitnessman" for a name change right before new bb.com rules for name changes were implemented and came up with ArchAngel (pronounced Ark Angel). The Archangel Michael slew Satan while Satan was in dragon form just as I had to symbolically kill my former self...I thought that was pretty cool so I used it.
I still get called "Fiend" by some old timers on bb.com and some times, for recognition purposes, I wish I had never changed it at all.

Feb. 2007 is when I joined, (coming up on 14 years ) I thought your username was gay as f*ck. But I got to "know" you here and know my initial judgment of you was not true. But, I still cannot for the life of me say your full username out loud without gagging, so I refer to you as BH.
good thread btw.

7seconds is a punk band, not a particularly good one but the first one I discovered when I was 12 that led me to a music and culture that I was a part of for more than 20 years. Seemed fitting and I pretty much use it as my username for anything online.

The original workout was a 5 minute warm up and four 30 second all out sprints with 4 minutes active recovery in between each repeat; working up to 8 repeats. You can do it on a treadmill, a bicycle and some people attempt it with kettlebell swings (not optimal). I do high knee sprinting on a rebounder, because I can go at an insane pace with almost zero impact. I go more intense for shorter repeats with shorter recoveries. Google 'Wingate protocol' for the original workout or just the word 'supramaximal'. There are many modifications and most people prefer shorter repeats and shorter recoveries, because that 30 seconds is the longest 30 seconds you'll ever experience.

It is timing, ask me same question now and I would pick something else, but at the time José Weiss was on my mind. Simple Weiss wasn't working (taken, eh, taken my arse) hence 1967 added as an extension.
I was flying sailplanes at the time, also designing digital sailplane models and testing them in simulators. In my search for better aerodynamic wing shape I arrived at gull shape wings. It turned out the idea was tested way back in 1905-ish by pioneering work of Jose Weiss. Little known genius designer who was far ahead of his time. Anyways, like I said, just timing, I am stuck being Weiss1967. Could have been worse Lol.

My user name is taken from when I entered my first age grade weightlifting competition, on the entry form I had to provide the name of my club/gym, weight category, my date of birth and my full name, respectively the PPL weightlifting gym, 75kg, 4/4/62 and my name.
The announcer takes your details from the entry form and announces to the audience the name of each competitor, somehow this lady worked out that my name was Gym 62 Richards, the crowd jus laughed when she called me onto the platform, particularly the guys from my club, hence after this the guys always called me Gym Richards, Richard being my christian name.

for short - yes, but its a long story. It all started from toying with the idea of forward-swept wing, which is inherently unstable of course, but not immediately obvious, you kind of have sit and think about it. Removed the tail appendage, the whole thing, together with tail boom, why would you need so much weight and parasitic drag anyway. At this point I thought I am best super genius. Then I added back sweep from about middle of wingspan to stabilize it directionally. This worked wonderfully. Added the dihedral, and then keeping in mind span-wise flow, reversed the dihedral from about middle of span, right about where you reverse the sweep. This is what you were talking about, Tom, making a span-wise parasitic flow working for you. Now, take a break, step back - holi smoks! the thing look like seagull!! Mother nature is best super genius, evolution is smarter than you and me.
Ok I will shut up, we are stealing the thread

very interesting story brother. Nothing weird about it. I hear you. I have seen people (local gulf islands pot-smoking goofs, three-hugging pacifist liberals) grow flowers specifically for deer to eat. Just so that fkn thing will stop eating their other flower beds. And some go a little further, they cultivate lady bugs in their greenhouses, what they call a "good bugs", so that they will eat other "bad bugs" and save their vegetables.

20 years ago, I was hooked on an online game called "Diablo" and people called me "Samurai" because I was the only Japanese player they can find in the same Server Region (I selected US for I wanted to learn English by playing the game.)
But calling myself "Samurai" kinda felt stupid. I started searching for a right word for my screen name at the gaming guild forum. Then it hit me, why not? I am a big fan of Tolkien's LOTR and Samwise Gamgee is my favorite. With a big heart in his small body, he's the most faithful one to his friends in the story.
The emphasis should be on Samwise, so I took out "u" from Samurai.
The name stuck till this day.
