I hope whatever fine/suspension he gets isn't increased because the other player involved was a QB.

using a piece of a equipment as a weapon is violence outside the normal expectations of the game, and as such an extraordinary suspension is likely incoming
closest i could find is this https://thenhl.fandom.com/wiki/The_D...orley_Incident , and the suspension was 1 year, and the case went to court where he was found guilty of assault with a weapon. Rudolph was not hurt as badly as Brashear was, but this was also 20 years ago when violence in sport wasnt nearly as toned down as it is todayKeep mod discussions out of your sig line
Misc 2018 and 2019 NFL Pick Em Champion- Better luck next year fellas

I'm not defending at all the actions, but why didn't those 2 Steelers lineman do anything to protect this? I'm sure Rudolph was jawing the whole game or something to provoke, but Damn the Browns gonna Brown.
Reminds me of the time Happy Gilmore set the record for taking the other guys skate off and stabbing him.

Guy needs to go to jail. That’s assault brotha. Just proves most of the scum in the league would be flipping burgers or getting into trouble if it wasn’t for football. They don’t realize how good they’ve got it.

This. shoving matches and chit happen all the time in the NFL when things get heated. Taking a swing at someones bare head with a helmet is beyond ridiculous. What if he hit him? Who knows the damage that could have been done to Rudolphs head or brain.
Garrett deserves a hefty fine and to be suspended the rest of the year at minimum.Last edited by JUGGERNAUT1333; 11-15-2019 at 04:50 AM.

Needs to go to jail?
Since we're making crazy statements, why not call it a hate crime too?
Again, should pitchers who purposely hit batters with 100mph fastballs be jailed too?
This is the same guy who got sucker punched in the face last month by "a fan" and didn't retaliate. He probably could have crippled that moron but didnt.

i figured there'd be some browns fans trying to defend their guy. and your opinion isn't worth much because you're obviously not impartial. your view is skewed and you're wasting your time. he completely ruined his entire reputation. this will follow him the rest of his career. that's just how it is.

what exactly is the point of finding random events from other sports run by different organizations and with different players unions. miles screwed himself here, he will easily be suspended the rest of the year and maybe more than that, and spend his offseason in anger management classes. what harper or some hockey player did years ago isn't relevant in the least to what happened last night

How is it not relevant? Myles is going to be suspended the rest of the season. Not denying that or opposing. But did you even know the above video existed?
The reaction from people ITT saying he should be lynched or thrown in jail is laughable. Football is the most barbaric sport in the country. For generations we have celebrated the toughest, meanest, dirtiest players and turned them into gods. We want them to kill each other in between the whistle but when the whistle stops we expect them to? Fights are glorified in baseball and hockey and vilified in football and basketball. Even the video I posted where Harper has full intent to deck the pitcher with his helmet he gets suspended 4 of 162 games and its forgotten about in a week.

Nobody is defending him, dingus.
Im just saying if we're using this "he used a piece of equipment in a fight" argument, the same should be applied to baseball players, hockey players, etc. Both are equally egregious and should be penalized above & beyond that of a normal in-game fight.
And lol how stupid is Pouncey? Punching and kicking a guy in the head, whose head is covered by a hard helmet? What a moran.

He threw his helmet from like 5 feet away and missed by 10 feet. That's not at all similar to swinging it through the top of the pitchers head.
And here's a group of WHITE hockey players getting long suspensions. https://www.nhl.com/news/longest-sus...ry/c-278269914

He's super chill. If I had a dime for every time I've heard local sports guy refer to him as an "old soul" because he's so gentle and relaxed. Does writes poetry, is way into dinosaurs and archaeology, volunteers and local dog shelters and parks, visits kids in hospitals, etc. So very bizarre.
I wish he would have chucked his helmet up into the dawg pound instead.
