I just started lifting again after a long break about 3 weeks ago, Im also doing intermittent fasting I definitely look like I’ve gained muscle and strength but my stomach besides when I wake up always looks the same as before plus my scale hasn’t dropped any weight in the last 3 weeks. Just wanted to ask if I’m doing something wrong I do look leaner but the stomach fat isn’t going away especially since people say the loose so much weight quick on intermittent fasting

This. You need to be in a substantial calorie DEFICIT (Usually ~500 calories below maintenance) This is optimal fat loss while preserving most of your muscle mass, and you will be hungry as f***! but at that rate you should drop about a pound a week. anything more and it’s too fast, you’ll be losing more muscle mass. anything less and you’re just dragging out the pain, and it will take longer to reach your target. A pound of week will suck because you’ll be limiting calories and you’ll be hungry, but once you practice it and have the discipline to control your hunger you’ll be able to drop fat like nothing in the future

To be more clear, IF isn’t going to lose you weight in the short term. Yes it’s a good strategy to keep the fat off long term, as long as you’re not overeating during your window your body will burn more fat during the fast, but it’s a long term strategy over several years. If you want to lose fat now, you’ll want to be in a calorie deficit

Hey Danglis !!! I would say, to skip food is neither a practical nor a wise decision to lose weight. Many times it can cause weakness and other health issues in the body. According to me, follow a diet with less calories and do exercise daily is the best way to control all along with 15-20 mins of daily running. As I see in your post you want to lose belly fat , so focus on exercises which are especially for belly fat. Good Luck
