    Legend 3171? $295

    greenville.craigslist.org/spo/d/power-rack/6252913198.html

To me (maybe some of the legend folks can chime in) this looks like a 3171. The two interior weight storage pins on each side are throwing me for a loop. If one of you pick it up, be sure to post some pictures. I'd like to see how it turns out.

all the commercial racks on CL in my area are listed close to or over a grand. in fact i bought my rack from the east coast and had it shipped for far cheaper than i've seen listed on CL. i'm so jealous that finds like this pop up for you guys.

I have seen some Rogue equipment around my area in Los Angeles, but all the sellers seem to think they're worth new MSRP (without tax and shipping).

Probably a pretty solid rack, but it's definitely an ugly mofo. Don't like the use of 3x3 chunks on the ends of the pullup bar and other areas where the sections are bolted together. Makes it look like someone's home-built rack, cobbled together from scraps.

Legend wisely got away from that silly looking design. Now it is a 3X3 plate that blends in just fine with the uprights. I've never been able to figure out a functional or aesthetic reason for that style

I suppose you have about three options:
1 - build your own cable (swage tool and cable available from the home center)
2 - get a marine supply shop to make a replacement
3 - buy original cable replacement from exercise repair shop on-line

Those are probably price ascending and quality ascending options. #1 and #2 probably will be much easier if you have the original broken cable to clone.

You're going to have to make your own or have someone do it for you. It's not going to be available online with that brand. If you do it alone here's what I'd estimate it will cost you

3/16" cable (at least 2000lb tensile strength) - $0.15 to $1.00 per foot, since you only need I'd say no more 12-15 ft I'd lean towards $6.00-$7.50

Swage tool - $29.00 to $39.00 (Department Store Vs local hardware store)

Sleeve Stop - $0.40 to $1.00 (You might need two depending on what the cable ends underneath the seat)

Cable Bolts - Hopefully you can just cut the wire that connects through this or else you'd probably be paying around $17 to $29 for this

I would RECOMMEND checking you're local Hardware Store (like Ace) as they will have all the stuff you need for making new cables, the only downfall is usually their cables are around 300-500 tensile strength

    Good Luck!

An alternative is to go to a marine store or marina, particularly one that sells sailing supplies. They typically have everything needed to make a cable on-site. Take the old cable with you, and you should be all set.

Our local hardware will make one to match your old one and only charges for the material. I found that Home Depot sells a crimping tool for $20 that works great . I bought one just for the convenience of making cables at the house.

Are they asking $150 for it . The weight stack is worth that much. If you make the cable yourself you'll have less than $200 in the whole thing.

FYI, there is a Rogue Russian Boneyard bar selling in Texas that a guy is selling using MY PICS. Not cool. It's not me, just an FYI. He's not mentioning that it's a boneyard bar, which is kinda lame. I sold mine last week so I guess the guy is trying to sell it as a new Russian bar (not boneyard) and make a profit. Not cool, but whatever. It looks like somebody else already contacted him and called him out on it which is kinda funny. They created a separate post on CL as a "do not buy Russian bar". Lol.

because you'd have to be one dumb sob to include a picture of double tracked knurling from a boneyard bar if the one you're selling doesn't have double tracked knurling.

And the black endcap that you can barely see. Russian bar has red endcaps. And I sold my boneyard bar to this guy last week. Lol. I really don't care that he wants to flip it, or whatever, but not mentioning it's a boneyard bar AND using my photos kinda sucks. I've already had two guys text me that they saw my gym and bar on there..

Ah - you didn't specify that it was the same guy/bar flipping it. I thought he was only using your pics out of being lazy.

See a lot of ads that use pics taken from here that I know aren't that seller's.

Yup. Found a pic of my previous basement gym in a listing on the Atlanta CL. Guy was cool about it and took it down as soon as I contacted him, but it's a bit shocking to click on a CL listing and see your stuff.

We looked at a new construction house up in dunwoody one time 7-8 yrs ago. I then noticed a contractor ad in the local newspaper/magazine that used a photo from the new construction house listing that the contractor obviously just borrowed. I contacted the builder and in the next month newspaper the ad was different. People are shady.

I really didn't think it was the same bar at first.. The guy was a repeat customer and very excited about the Russian bar. But I did confirm that it was the same guy and the same bar I sold.. only 1 week ago. Ah well.. not a huge deal. Just lame that he's lying and using my pics. However, being that he's using my pics, he's actually hurting his lie. He's not mentioning it's a boneyard bar, but I clearly had a shot of the messed up knurl, which he put in his listing. Lol.

They would've been about $3/lb for new ones shipped. They're really nice plates , so what you're willing to pay is up to you. Typically, 1/2 retail is a starting point if they're in great shape, less is better.

I've used and own some of their urethane Olympic plates. I love them! I like the somewhat flat finish on them, compared to a glossy finish.

Thanks for the advice...he's asking almost retail, but I figured they'll sit there for a while. Just wanted a second opinion on making an offer if they do.
