Already own a RTX 2070S which can do 4k medium-high and sometimes ultra. Im pretty sure poverty consoles won’t be running 4k ultra and the games that are 120fps will probably run at 480p resolution
Really wanted new xbox cuz I think it looks aesthetic and I like xbox, but I already own an xbox one x too
Already own game pass ultimate for halo and gears too.
So any reason?

Is there any reason at all to buy an Xbox One Series X if you already own a PC?

Well your premises are faulty...
First the Xbox GPU is more powerful than your computers and system optimization means you don't have to watch a youtube video seeing what settings you can turn down to boost FPS without significantly hurting graphic quality.
IF the GPU can do 4k/60 it can do 2k/120.

To answer your title question. Your 2070(S) is in the 96th percentile of GPUs according to Steam. Meaning for $500 85% of gamers will get a substantial upgrade.
FOR YOU there isn't really a reason unless you have kids.Finance Degree - USAF INTEL - IIFYM - Injured Crew - KTM XCW300 - Single Track Trail Rider - NRA Supporter - Shunned from MFC - Libertarian - Pragmatist

The 2070(S) is roughly 10% better than the 5700XT.
The 5700XT is on RDNA 1 with 40 compute units clocked at 1830 MHZ
The Xbox Series X is on RDNA 2 with 52 compute units clocked at 1.825 (probably more like 1.7 gameclock) MHZ with 16 GB of shared GDDR 6 memory. (Where your system is running on GDDR4 and only your GPU is running on GDDR6.)
The PS5 GPU will be more on par with yours.Finance Degree - USAF INTEL - IIFYM - Injured Crew - KTM XCW300 - Single Track Trail Rider - NRA Supporter - Shunned from MFC - Libertarian - Pragmatist

You keep bringing up all these technical specs that are meaningless in real world gameplay. Halo looks like ass, it will run at 4k60 because everything looks like a cardboard cutout. PS5’s spiderman game wont even run at 4k 60fps, its either 4k or 60fps. My 2070S has been doing 4k 60 fps on every game I have thrown at it (maybe not on ultra settings for all).
Their flagship titles which are supposed to show off the console fail to even beat last gen.
They really dropped the ball on next gen, everything should be GUARANTEED 4k60 at least-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.

So ignore the specs and math and go with your feels... Seems like a plan...

Get PS5 if you want the exclusives or if your friends play PlayStation online. Might as well save $100 and go for the "Digital" version, unless you insist on hard copy discs.
Get RTX 30 / Big NAVI / AMD Zen 3 / Intel's 11th if you want the best gaming system to tackle next gen with for 1440p 144+ FPS or 4k 60+/100+ FPS.
Get Xbox Series X if you don't have a PC and/or don't want to blow $1000+ on PC parts, you don't care about the PS5 exclusives, your friends play Xbox, and you're keen on the savings in money from the All Access subscription for XSX console and games, and you want the "best" performing console.
Don't get Xbox Series S.
Get Nintendo Switch if you're not worried about Nintendo's upcoming projects and want the exclusives / local multiplayer games.

On the graphics side, we knew the Xbox Series X was tapping a custom GPU based on AMD's next-generation RDNA 2 architecture. Microsoft previously said it would serve up 12 TFLOPs of graphics power. It's hard to glean too much from a TFLOPs figure, but now Microsoft has revealed it will feature 52 compute units clocked at 1.852GHz, with 16GB of GDDR6 memory.
To put that into perspective, a Radeon RX 5700 XT based on RDNA 1 wields 40 CUs with a 1,605MHz base clock, 1,755MHz 'game' clock, and 1,905MHz boost clock, and 8GB of GDDR6 memory. On Amazon, an RX 5700 XT is about $400 by itself.
So: The GPU inside the Xbox Series X has 30 percent more compute units, twice the memory, a faster clock (save for the 5700 XT's ability to boost), and a fatter memory bus. On top of all that, it will benefit from whatever architectural upgrades RDNA 2 introduces. And let's not forget about support for real-time ray tracing.Last edited by Alie865656; 09-19-2020 at 07:22 AM.

Not even close WAY less then 1%. https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/videocard/
However that is SHARED Ram.
So most gamers have 16 gb ddr4, and <8 GB ddr5 or ddr6.Finance Degree - USAF INTEL - IIFYM - Injured Crew - KTM XCW300 - Single Track Trail Rider - NRA Supporter - Shunned from MFC - Libertarian - Pragmatist

Yeah pretty much this, and it's a lot more cost efficient as well. For example a new 3080 will cost you a lot more than an entire Xbox Series X, and building a gaming PC that can exceed it's performance will set you back a lot more money. I got a nice gaming PC and it's cool for doing PC stuff but I still easily understand the value of consoles as simple, cheap, and convenient TV entertainment. The greatest benefit of PC performance requires a high speed monitor these days as well, so playing them on a TV kind of defeats the purpose of a high-end PC rig these days.
