Question Am I out of shape?

Hi guys, recently posted some photos. Would you say I’m out of shape?

Also what’s your opinion on modern physique as a workout program?

    Cheers!

Haven't you got a special someone who could answer that first part?

As for Steve Cook's program I am always dubious about a program that lasts 8 week when it comes to building muscle. Especially when they have claims of 8lb muscle gains in that time.....

How convenient 8 week program and exactly 8lbs gained magical who would of thought it would be exact.

Wish I had a special someone. I just dunno whether to follow a program in the gym and include cardio etc or just ‘wing it’ as it seems like some people do at the gym.

Programs will greatly help with consistency for most people and that's important, will also help to avoid frustration when stalling when you have progression and stalling plans in place already

Thanks. Do you think programs are appropriate for anyone who just wants more size/lose fat (casual gym goer?) or do you think they are more suited to aspiring bodybuilders?

Yes it's true there are some amazing self taught guitarists, but most people will get far better better results following structured lessons of some kind than just buying a guitar and winging it.

It's also true you'll find a few people who've managed to achieve good gym results without ever following a program of any kind, but most people will get far better results following a good program, including aspiring bodybuilders, aspiring power lifters and just people trying to get a bit stronger and fitter
Faith in Jesus first and faith in squats second.
Then other details will start to slot themselves into place.
Diet restarted, target 69.x Kg, progress poor so far :(

Quit being such a drama queen, pick a proven program, and apply consistency and intensity and spare us everything else.

If you think that walking into the gym and just 'winging it' is a good idea, you're wrong. Very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very wrong.

That's the approach of some of the trainers in my gym. You hear them talking to their trainees saying things like "Let me think what would be good to do next", "What do you feel like doing today?", etc.

There are many excellent trainers and coaches out there, but sadly for every good one there are probably at least two like what you just described
