Normally $0, I just take the clippers to what is left of it, usually a #2 at the most, getting good at fading on the sides and back.

Mine usually run about $25 and that's with the tip.

Women pay some crazy a$$ prices though. We have a tax client that runs a high end salon and I was perusing her sales journal once and saw clients paying upwards of $750. I'm thinking I better be getting a happy ending for that price!!

My wife has cut my hair for the last couple of years....I do have the right clippers to get the job done.

Yes....two times ago she sneezed and sculpted a fine looking hair divet about 3 inches long on the left side.
Neither of us was skilled enough to do a scalp makeover.
We both laughed.

Yeah....I do 'tip' her....in my own, well...sort of way.

$25 for the cut and $25 for the tip....so $50. The tip amount is because my hair is difficult to cut and it usually takes them twice as long as most customers.

Been a lot of years that I apply the razor in the shower - make up for it by paying for my lovely spouse to have hers done in a salon - and she's fond of lots of colors etc so it's usually in the hundreds when she gets color etc.
Thankfully that's only every few months.

I get a buzz in the spring and let it grow until next spring lol I have a full head of hair and it's pretty much on my shoulders come buzz time.

Ha! Well women deserve it. Guys are ugly and any man who spends more than 5 min in front of a mirror (unless they are posing ) has issues.

I used to get my balls busted by some thinking I fashioned myself a pretty boy, but the most my grooming routine was was 5 minutes and a #3 guard on the trusty trimmers. A hand mirror and trimmers to clean up the back, and one is not so unkempt looking.

Now that I am 'old' it doesnt really matter anyway

So right around xmas we were at our friends house and my buddy cuts his and his kids hair really short. So the ladies decided to go to the liquor store and as soon as they left I was like "you got those clippers upstairs?".

His eyes lit up and he ran right upstairs and I pulled a chair out.

So when my wife came back I had a #1 buzz. I've never had it that short before.

His wife is bigtime ballbuster. I said "I think I kinda look like Jason Statham, no?"

Cuts seemed to jump in price(+$15) here since Covid began which i kind of understand since they have new equipment and rules.
