I can say from experience that the m&p 15-22 is a great rifle, i dont know much about the umarex .22 pistol, but i have a umarex .22 uzi and a umarex beretta m9-22 and they are both solid firearms.

word is though, tipmann makes the highest quality .22 ARs

The main benefit of an AR22 compared to an M&P 15-22 is that it will feel like an AR15. The weight is correct and you don't have to worry about an out of battery discharge. You can also set it up as an AR Pistol with a shorty upper without a stamp.

a good .22 AR or .22 upper is ideal for an AR guy because they are just so much fun plus it helps build skill for a cheap ammo price. the m&p 15-22 is a great choice too because they are very reliable and accurate. theyl cycle cheap ammo too. I havent had the chance to handle any tipmann ARs but ive seen reviews on them, apparently just as reliable as the m&p 15-22 plus they feel and weigh exactly the same as a 5.56. you can get them in braced pistol configuration too

sounds like a good idea, i havent put any serious effort into researching them but what i have heard is all positive.

with the m&p 15-22 out of battery discharges, it was an issue that happened a long time ago, and has since been addressed by smith and wesson. its never happened with mine and ive put approximately 10K rounds through it.

Sold the lower for $300, and the ammo for $350 (.35c/rd).

Sold them both on Armslist. The lower I sold under 24 hours after it was listed. The ammo was a lot longer.

yea, aero M5s are awesome. youve got a 20" barrel on that right?

.308 out of a 20" AR with an A2 birdcage flashider isnt too terribly loud, at least from the point of view of shooting the rifle. i havent stood next to someone shooting that though so maybe that would be a different perspective.

also will buy doom, but i need a new hard drive first, im completely out of space.



on the subject of Aero M5s though, i need to build out my two stripped lowers into something like this except no forward vertical grip



and some kind of holographic, red dot or ACOG site. also need some long glass for my two 20" M5s maybe 20x magnification and bipods. i really should stock up on ammo before i go sinking thousand of dollars into optics though

i remember reading a bit about Tippman on the .22lr. Wasn't sure if i clicked a wrong link or not as i only know them for paintball, and last i knew, were top tier in paintball too. So usually just glanced over it and went to another link.

No. You get what you pay for, and that is quite literally the bottom.

If you're talking a budget, although now with higher demand, prices are a bit higher/inventory is behind, may be a little more price here.

BUT, for a strong entry level AR. i say either the standard Ruger 5.56 or the Smith and Wesson MP sport II 5.56
will run you about $700.

More than likely don't want to go any lower budget than these.

Appleseed banned them for it. Not sure how common it was but common enough.

I got mine from CMMG. Even if you don't want to use their upper, I'd use their bolt and a 22lr barrel.

a 10/10 right out of the box. CZ P10F tactical. Threaded barrel, night sights supressor height, 2 21 round mags.

The mag release button is much smoother than my original Gen1 CZ p10C, but not ambi anymore. Trigger is just as good. You people saying the M2.0/VP9 trigger is better than the P10 are a bunch of dirty fukin liars

I believe that AR for $250 has not only has a polymer lower, it has a polymer upper. A poly upper's pic rail will get chewed up with any optic mount. Also, I wouldn't want my face that close to a controlled explosion in plastic.
