what are some exercises for me to do for training for the marines. I'm 17 and preparing to go.

I think it was Dr. Jonny Kim who mentioned during Jocko Willink podcast that he underestimated the importance of lifting heavy when preparing for the marines. Unless you're a pro athlete in a specific sport, overfocusing on one sort of training is compromising everything else.

Practice pullups, sit ups (these are being phased out for planks), push ups, long runs to nowhere
Practice mopping floors a lot, and standing still for a while not moving. Get somewhere 30 mins early and stand there, not utilizing the chairs around you but just stand there till it’s time to do whatever you came there to do. Who needs a chair?

OP is probably a senior non commissioned officer in the Corps by now if he made it and is still in. I think he figured it out 17 years later.
