Sinister sucralose?
I just started working out again, attempting to drink Muscle Milk in the morning 2-3 hours before my workout. I finish off the rest post-workout. However, it made my blood sugar plummet this a.m. I felt horrible, and had planned to work out an hour afterwards. Not this morning! The first thing I did in my panic to feel better was to go buy a pizza...and to gobble 2/3 of it. I notice on the label that MM contains 3Gs of "sugars". Yet considering how food manufacturers play word games with us such as, "sugarless" (meaning, "less sugar", or, "not as much sugar") vs "sugar-free" (without any sugar), and considering my reaction to MM this a.m., I can't help but wonder what "sugars" means in "Muscle-Milk-ese".
I've never drunk MM before 12N as I have been lately. Maybe I should wait until later in the day to drink it.
Anyway, being unable to easily determine how much sugar AND sucralose is present seems like blatant avoidance on the part of Cytosport. Hmm...Last edited by wolveroonie; 03-07-2012 at 12:21 PM. Reason: whatever
