    edit:

bumpin this dude again. He's really new on youtube but his reviews are actually interesting/practical if that makes any sense. Seems to know his sh!t

edit edit: also he can actually pronounce stuff - said he's an opera singer so that'd account for knowing italian and i guess french

    I haven't tried either
I've tried New Haarlem, Bleecker Street, Chez Bond (okay but didn't like the dry down. GIT did this scent better IMO), Riverside Dr (good but reminded me of a deoderant), Saks 5th for Him (didn't like at all), NY Fling (also didn't like), and Wall Street (just okay). I was starting to lose a little faith in Bond. I'll try out Brooklyn and Hamptons when I can! I also wanna try Andy Warhol. I know they did a few Andy Warhol Bond no. 9's but the one with his face on it is supposed to be pretty good

To me, VIW just reminds me of something Tommy Bahama would sell. Sure, it's pleasant but I can't see myself wearing it ever. And sure enough, I found out that Tommy Bahama makes a copy version. Not sure how good of a replica it is though.

I don't really get a tequila note at all from VIW. The spray i tried yesterday only really gave me a really smooth coconut note from the beginning to the end. I can definitely smell a more alcohol, salt, and lime vibe coming from St. Barts though.

It dries down to a smooth-almost-sweet woodsy scent. It's definitely quality and smells like it should cost more than it does.
Also tried Acqua di Parma Colonia and thought it smelled like a urinal cake. I tried Allure Edition Blanche also, and thought the lemon overpowered it and made it smell like bug spray or something. Lastly I tried Eight and Bob and I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. I think I did but I'm not sure if it's something I'd wear. I'd definitely have to give it a few more wears.
    Continuing:
Bond no 9 Bleecker Street - great cologne. As stated earlier, the best out of the Bonds that I've tried. Light and IMO a perfect summer cologne
GPHII - finally tried this as well. I thought it was generic at first, but the dry down is amazing. Of course the tea is the most noticeable note, but I think the cinnamon/spices are very apparent. One of the best designers I've tried. Is it me or is there some subtle similarities between GPHII and Bleecker Street?
Lalique Pour Homme (lion) - Smells like an old man. Donotwant. It reminds me of death, srs. The clerk said its more for people 45+. I would raise that number to 70 (edit: at least. Probably more like 90). Definitely sticking to the Equus (horse) edition.

lol the first fragrantica review for this is hilarious:

"It's like a young girl proudly tromping and wobbling through the house wearing her older sister's high heels."

"It would be perfect for the girl who has everything, because it smells like a symbolic summation of everything she has. It's the irresistible beauty of youth, the freedom of wealth, and the gift of originality."

"I don't care what the name is, or how much it costs.. I even forgot what I was supposed to be doing today. Liaisons Dangereuses takes you firmly yet softly and wipes your slate clean. Just like that."

Sounds like LD is infused with THC.

D'Orsay - Le Dandy: Sweet plum, whiskey, rum, pineapple & more. Really nice. What suprised me was how similar it smells to Frank No 2. Except where Frank No 2 smells more mature, this smells youthful. Something I could wear. I would have liked Frank No 2 if it weren't for that, so I'm happy with this. Tell me your thoughts on the Le Dandy vs Frank No 2 similarities when you get it Burzan.

Guerlain - Bois d'Armenie: I get some sweetness with an earthy undertone. Probably the patchouli. Pretty damn nice. I'm guessing the sweetness might come from the benzoin & pink pepper. At first I was reminded of Jub XXV for it's sweet earthy qualities. Probably not all that similar in smell (been awhile since I sampled Jub) though likely in the same ballpark. Gonna test this some more and make it my SOTD today.

Histoires de Parfums - Ambre 114: Reminded me of Ambre Precieux. Go figure. Amber vanilla bomb. Pretty nice! Smells...sophisticated, elegant, etc. I could see myself wearing this on occasion though I've found that I'm not much of an amber+vanilla kinda guy.

Le Labo - Santal 33: Yup. Smells like straight wood. There's sandalwood & cedar in this one. It's a nice smell, something that I wouldn't mine wearing on occassion. Though again not something I'd care to smell like all the time. Quality scent though.

Solid impressions brah, I will see what I think about Frank 2 when it arrives. I kind of think 1270 is the youthful version of Le Dandy so now I can't wait to try the Frank. Spot on with all the other reviews and I am happy to see you don't hate Bois D'Armenie haha

1270 is somewhat similar, Frank no 2 is very similar. I think I prefer 1270 over all 3 though.
