Actually, that is a frequent saying around here, lol. We use it to refer to the fact that strength training and bb'ing are less rocket science and more common sense than people make it out to be.
Totally agree on this one. I heard that some people actually GAIN freakin' weight before auditioning for the show in order to look worse! If you watched that one follow up contestant who gained it all back afterwards....seemed almost more sad than his original obesity.
The techniques they use to lose weight are NOT sustainable, healthy, nor real life.
Jillian is an actress, that's all I gotta say. Her new show makes me want to throw up its so fake."A champion is someone who gets up even when he can't" ---Jack Dempsey

It seems that this season they have done something different, because the weight loss numbers aren't as ridiculous as they have been in previous seasons. Nobody lost 25 pounds in the first week or anything like that, and the second week they averaged about 6 lbs.
I've never seen Bob almost pitch a hissy fit like that before, it was laughable. He seems to think he patented certain workouts. If anything, he should be flattered.

Ok, here's what I want to know...
If Planet Fitness is sponsoring The Biggest Loser, and one of their rules is no grunting... I wonder what they think of all the grunting and groaning going on at the ranch??Sean

I just watched Tuesday's episode last night....
Bob is becoming a jealous bitch.... lol... it was even more funny, the fact that Bob had no voice to speak of.
Dolvette... committing vandalism.... I laughed hard at that on... 94 EVERWHERE....
and yes... those two red team women... just downright stupid for putting 94 lbs as a STARTING wager....

I got a membership there, for the only reasons its $10/month and open 24/5. But the grunting rule sucks...there are more rules...No dropping weights, now Im not the strongest S.O.B. but when your struggling pressing up the dumbbells on the last two reps. Ya want to get them on the floor...I have to be careful. If the stupid "LUNK" alarm goes off. I get busted. If you get busted 3x, your membership is up.
but the gym is huge, at min. 40-50 treadmills, next row, same..40-50 ellipticals, then infront of that Arcs, stationary bikes, and recumbant bikes..then the good stuff...Workout Thread

She'll probably be back as a special guest a couple of times during the season, but I doubt if she wants to go back there as a trainer. It would be like taking a step back in her career for her, I would suspect.
In terms of training winners, it is actually fairly even between Bob and Jillian (with Jillian having I think a 4-3 edge), considering there were about 5 seasons where the person who won either came back after elimination, didn't start with either one or might have started with Jillian but switched to Bob.

Oh yeah..this week was wild. Not sure what those women on the red team were thinking. But, to be honest, I think they sent the right person home.
Also, I hear a lot about how this show isn't helping anyone. I have to disagree. Even if a few people see this, get their sh*t together and start a fitness life, the show has helped someone. It's irresponsible to make a global statement like that. What I think is the most motivation is what Doc Huizenga reveals to some of the contestants. When he showed the stenotic left main coronary artery and he called it the Widow Maker. Scared the sh*t out of me. I'm upping my reps and adding some cardio...
I hope that statement scared a few other folks as well.

Good info. I've never had a membership at any club but I can see definitely that PF is selling to the cardio group. At least that's what the commerical says to me.
It's too bad that down here in Mansfield Tx, the only two clubs we have are Lifetime and a 24 Hour Sport. Where's a good old lifting club! Might just start one in my garage. Free membership...donations only. It'll be dark, dank, smell like sweat. There'll be only a few florescent lights and only one rule. I sorta laughed at Dolvett's attempt to be "tough" ... i thought it was just kinda ghey...if someone kept yelling 94 at me I would end up smacking them! lol Bob not having a voice was funny too....but I <3 Bob
That does sound pretty big
At first I didn't understand the challenge but I was on the phone ....then when I figured out what was going on and I saw all the chips they put forawrd... ha ha PHAIL!
I would just start yelling and run in circles with arms flailing
I laughed at that but Bob will come up with sumpthn.... I have faith lol
THAT made me laugh!
I like Doc too.... I like how he has them face their truth!Journal but the 2020/2021 ed. ---> https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=141049421

Looks like the red team has once again proven that they are the dumbest team in the history of BL...WTF? for 30 calories each, I would have eaten 4 or 5 of those fortune cookies. Being in charge of the challenges is a MAJOR advantage. Goofballs...

True.
I was pissed that buddy just up and left. Seems like this group is much more sensitive. As of last night not sure if I'm a Dolvett fan. Why aren't his contestants dropping lb's like Bob's team? I did find last night's show entertaining. That red team girl....conda or amanda?? What an attitude on her! I wanted to smack her lol.Journal but the 2020/2021 ed. ---> https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=141049421
