If Roman Reigns beats The Rock at WM will that get him over?

He's the most over now he's ever been, him beating Rock at a WrestleMania would be big even for him but he will never quite reach that Cena level ever. It was planned for this coming Mania I think also as WrestleMania will be in Los Angeles so I guess Vince was hoping some of that Hollywood rub would make its way to Reigns.

This is Reigns best character that he's ever played period. He doesn't need help being "over". He's getting legit heat. His mic work is the best he's had. His overall mannerisms are the best he's had, and his attitude is the best he's had. I say best in terms of most believable and best as far as him playing it to a tee. He's a natural heel. My wife hates wrestling and she's legit hating Reigns for how he treats Uso. Also she can't stand the way he walks around, not like a bad ass with the Shield but how he appears disgusted with being around other wrestlers. I have to keep telling her he's supposed to be hated. Its his character.

Teaming him with Heyman was the best move they could make. And, this coming from someone that really doesn't care for Reigns one iota.

If he faces the Rock and cheats to win, he would draw the most heat in wwe history besides the Super Cena hate or quite possibly more. However, I wouldn't want to watch the Rock in the ring. Dude is large and stiff. He would have to lose at least 40lbs. The match wouldn't do much for me because its so obvious. Why would Rock win? He would lose it the next ppv and go back to filming. Doesnt make sense for him to come in and lose, wouldn't do much for Reigns since people would expect Rock to lose either way. Either lose vs Reigns or drop the belt 3 weeks later. And he could really only drop it to Reigns. No other wrestler has momentum or makes sense for him to drop it to unless they bring some surprise in. But, 3 weeks isn't enough time to build a match and would seem rushed and idiotic. So he beats Reigns, Reigns beats him? Nada!

Maybe if Brock returned? Possibly something people would want to see or Goldberg, maybe? I wouldn't want to see it but people would probably eat it up.

That said, I've really enjoyed Reigns's work since returning and allying himself with Heyman. Would love to see his run culminate in a match with Rock. I hope they let him have a classic with Bryan at 2021 WrestleMania though, then continue to build his heat up to a match with Rock at the next year's show.

Roman Reigns is fine as a heel, but I do hope tthis match happens, a perfect farewell match for The Rock.

You confuse Rock with Oldberg, Rock put up great 20-30 mins against Cena and Punk at WM 28, RR 13 and EC 13, tho WM 29 was a finisher feast. Still better than Oldberg's 5 minutes 2 move squashes. Rock and Reigns can pull ot a cool cinematic brawl.

1) That was nearly 10 years ago.
2) He was also gassed out really early and struggled a lot to move properly.
3) He shouldn't have gone that long considering he managed to tear a muscle and end up in a hospital after both matches.
