I think it'll be fine
they're not gonna be a sure bet in the qualifiers and getting through the group will become a success again but they'll be competitive
Saelemaekers, Trossard, De Ketelaere (bit of a form dip atm), Openda, Onana, Theate, Faes, Trésor, Lavia, Doku... these guys should've been brought properly already since they'll be the future but Martinez held on to "his" players waaay too long+++ miscin' at work crew +++

Yeah I could see that...Spain is all about possession and will bore you to death with their passing. I'll give it to them though their possession play is amazing, and this isn't even the Spain Golden Generation.
I think Germany can win if they free Jamal Musiala he shouldn't play on the wing or right/left mid he needs to be at Center Attacking Mid. Then you play Muller and Havertz up front. Gnabry at Right mid, but lets see.

Agreed. Maybe Germany can peg them down a bit today but first 10 min has been all Spain. Crisp passing.
Because they're a trash national team and most casuals nut-hug them for Messi, nothx/10.
Agreed. 3 or 4 of the goals were caused by passes/shots passing through player legs and/or just absolute sloppy defending. Sad.Arsenal F.C / San Antonio Spurs

Messi is obviously more talented.
Kind of like comparing Sam Bankman to Elon Musk. Bankman might do better on some math puzzles, but obviously Elon seems more useful in practice.
Ronaldo is a lot bigger, more of a big moment monster who also can accomplish skills where they are effective.
In their prime, that is.

The Brazilian team is ridiculously stacked. They are the favorites to win for a reason.
I wonder how the 2026 WC is going to work with multiple cities hosting.
Your #FIFAWorldCup 2026 Host Cities:
Atlanta
Boston
Dallas
Guadalajara
Houston
Kansas City
Los Angeles
Mexico City
Miami
Monterrey
New York / New Jersey
Philadelphia

It's basically just a discussion on whether you prefer raw talent and magic or whether you think Ronaldo's clutchness and stats in big finals/games and international career are more important.
There's decent arguments for both but in the end it's also impossible to compare those two to the likes of Pele, Maradona and Cruijff.

Messi is the GOAT of having had his prime coincide with the Spanish golden generation at Barcelona. Team that went down the toilet the day Xavi and Iniesta retired.
Messi with all his technical brilliance can’t drag a team by himself, never proven outside of Barcelona, flees to a farmers league to play for PSG, now he’s fleeing again to the MLS.
If your life was on the line and you could only chose one player to decide a match for you, you can bet your ass people will chose Ronaldo over Messi.300 Forever
