Thanks
I used to hate them, but then I did them every day until I didn't. It works, like how I wanted to like eggplant, but I didn't, so I just ate eggplant until I liked eggplant. Now I love it.
Yeah the squats were not fun and I love squatting, so my brain needs a bit of a break.
You can tell me that anyway, lol.
I think that's offputting when I'm squatting. When the bar's on my back, I don't have to think about it, but when it's in front of me, I can see if my elbows are in the right spot or not and I start questioning my form as I do the rep.
Thanks.
I was surprised too. I thought my bench day yesterday would have been the hard one, but htat went really well. I think I just did seven many heavy days in a seven day stretch. Today was my 5th, and usually it's 3 heavy days every 7 days, so I probably overdid it a little.
You humble me.You can't help the hopeless.

Today’s Workout: Bench Speed Work
Weigh in: 180.2
Warmup: 6 min elliptical, leg swings, arm circles, light dumbbell rows
Speed Bench
5x45, 3x75, 2x95, 7x12x100
Crushed the bench today. My arch felt good. My bar path felt on point. Will go up to 105 next week.
Banded Bench
7x17x45+70lbs in bands
First couple of sets were easy. They quickly got harder. My left tricep got exhausted first, but I made all my reps.
Limber 11
Pretty good today

Today’s Workout: Deadlift Mechanical Stress
Do both!
Weigh in: 180.3
Warmup: 5 min elliptical, light kbell swings, arm circles
Paused Sumo
5x135, 1x225, 1x245, 8x3x285
These went better than last week. A lot of sets though.
Paused Conventional
4x5x280
A bit rough on my hands, but I was leaving the floor fast, which was good. The last time I did conventional, it felt slow.
Paused Deficits
3x8x200
My hands were crying by this point, even w/ the straps. Luckily, I’ll be doing fewer reps next week, should be better.
Weight’s hanging pretty steady around 180lbs. I was hoping to stay in the 170s this month, but it hasn’t been in the cards. Hopefully, I’ll be able to maintain the 170s in October. You can't help the hopeless.

Nice job! 6 sets of 6 dips each are awesome though! Are you aiming for more?
I always cringe when I see sumo deadlifters drop their weights because I think they are going to nail a toe. I know it happens!!!!!Team Ogre Mascot

I’m supposed to do 8-15, but after the cgbp, I can never do that many reps.
Yeah Candito broke his foot at worlds pulling sumo. My feet aren’t that wide. I’m more concerned about messing up my hips, tbh.
Today’s Workout: Squat Speed Work
Weigh in: 183.1
Warmup: 5 min elliptical, leg swings, arm circles
Speed Squats
5x45, 3x95, 2x135, 1x185, 5x11x165

Ouch! (re: Candito's foot)
I have so much to learn. I'm slowly absorbing it all, if only through osmosis

The only thing that seems to make me not hate certain exercises is reducing the volume. That's mostly regular squatting though.
I don't know how well that'd apply to food though. Enough good stuff out there for me to avoid the stuff I don't like.
Way to go on the benching!PRs: 95lbs/126lbs/212lbs

Yeah my hams and glutes were dying this morning. They're better now, but my back ... ugh.
I think it can work with certain vegetables pretty well. IMO, the more vegetables you actually like the better. I wouldn't bother with foods like coconut or milk chocolate. Not liking them suits me just fine. You can't help the hopeless.

Thanks .
Yeah it sucked for Jonnie because he failed his rep and then he broke his foot, ooh!
Today's Workout: Bench Mechanical Sress
Weigh in: 186.7- yeah need to stop eating junk.
Warmup: 5 min elliptical, light facepulls and tricep pushdowns, leg swings
Paused Bench
5x45, 3x75, 2x95, 1x115, 1x135, 8x2x162.5
These took a while, but I got all of my reps. My left elbow felt a little off. It didn’t hurt, but it definitely felt like it was a bit of a weak link on my work sets.
Paused Incline Bench
4x5x115
I had to rest longer between sets for these as well. My chest was already fried when I started, but I got them done.
Paused Decline Bench
3x8x120
The first set kind of flew by but the other two were pretty hard. I swear the guy next to me looked just like Neil Patrick Harris, albeit about 15 years younger. I kept expecting Barney to tell some kind of perverted joke, but alas, did not happen.
Limber 11:
Was a bit short on time, but I got the leg stretches done. My hams are still store from Monday. You can't help the hopeless.

wut is a bnch prss(srs)
Aloha! Missed you!
Please do not ever stop eating junk. My grandma died because she wouldn't quit eating ice cream. She would whisper to me for those last three months each night, "would you get me some ice cream? Just a spoon?" Then she would whisper the same thing to every one of the 8-10 people who visited her each day. After a little while she went all Golum with it and since I was the youngest she would bully me into giving her the whole tub.
She died happy, cuz of ice cream.
If you eat junk food, you gonna die happy girl. Yolo!

Nice benching Party!
Junk food of peace. If I have something around I put it in a real pain in the ass place to get to, like on a high shelf in the basement so I'm too scared to go down there at night with the spiders and find the ladder. My laziness wins out every time on that one.Current PRs:
Bench Press: 200x1
Deads: 315x1
Back Squats: 275x1

I know right.
I’ve never seen it.
ROFL
Thanks.
I try
So true. I really meant limiting the junk vs. excluding it entirely. I don’t know what life would be called w/o ice cream, probably something sad.
Alas, I can always reach my freezer.
I was supposed to squat yesterday, but my left hamstring seized up on the first warmup set (just the bar). It sucked, but I doubled up on my electrolytes and got to it today. You can't help the hopeless.

The work sets went better than last time. The bar felt heavy on my back on the first few sets, but I moved better than last time.
Paused Front Squats
4x5x125
These moved faster than last week. Felt pretty good
Paused Leg Press
