You guys see this pic?
I know Brady can play at an elite level, but you don't really count on it anymore. I think he is (& has) been saving his stuff for the postseason for years now and putting on less than spectacular regular seasons.

I respectively disagree with you 100% on him saving himself for the post season and not trying his hardest in the regular season. I don't think Brady has declined because of age this season, but I think he's not on his normal game right now because of how the offense is struggling. With poor line protection, not having Gronk's versatility, WR injuries etc he's forcing throws and sometimes making bad decisions in hopes to create something out of nothing.
This is usually how the Patriots function each year. They struggle early, but figure it out as the season goes on. Last year it was the defense struggling, now it's the offense. Give it time and it'll work itself out.New England Patriot

Looks like cutting and re-signing Watson saved us $1.06m in cap space bringing us up to $2.8m in total cap space available.
Current contract is a 1 year fully guaranteed $800,000 with $140,000 in incentives. Watson takes a hit on the contract, but is now fully guaranteed and we save cap space. Win win.New England Patriot

With Mahomes injured there is a possibility for KC to lose more games
I ask again: who has a real chance to beat the pats in Foxborough during playoff? (assuming Brady stay under the center of course)
I think Houston is the only one at this moment that could put up a good fight"Paper money is going away" - EM

Any of these teams could hypothetically beat the Patriots in the playoffs at home.
Colts, Chiefs, Ravens, Bills.
The Colts match up really well with the Patriots and they have imo a top tier coach.
Chiefs have Mahomes, who has played us twice and put up 3 points in the first half (that won't continue) and still almost beat us.
Good defense, added Peters, Lamar could drive the defense crazy. They could play unorthodox and beat us.
Bills have a top tier defense, one mistake away from losing to them in Buffalo.
A bad game against any of these teams and they beat us at Gillette. The Colts are the sleeper that scare me.

Until the Patriots figure out their offensive issues I'm not confident that we are Super Bowl bound. Mahomes will be back come playoff time and if healthy he has the ability to beat any team. Bills always play us tough. Colts have a good defense and solid run game. Ravens are playing well.
Obviously, we'll be favorites if we're number #1 seed, but I'm not confident enough to say we'll beat any team that shows up.New England Patriot

hey it is football anything can happen (like 2007) but:
KC: our D can kinda stop them but their D can't stop anybody
Raven: u mean the team with the running back - qb? lol
Colts: I don't see them ready for prime time
Bills: can't score (neither we tbh)
Houston: as of today is the only legit contender imho"Paper money is going away" - EM

Brady is 42 years old. I don't expect him to still be the best all around QB. Brady's greatest strength is his pre-snap reads and understanding what defenses are going to do.
Tonight's game could be interesting. No Burkhead, No Gordon, Dorsett questionable, Matt LaCosse out, Ryan Izzo out. We will see Ben Watson for the first time this season as well as Eric Tomlinson.
People are thinking this is going to be a close game, but I don't think so. Jets played Dallas tough, but Dallas looked terrible against them.New England Patriot

Mahomes, Jacoby and Jimmy have more "tools" than Brady - nothing wrong with admitting that zhit even Brady once said that he admire qb like vick/newton that with the flick of the wrist can make the ball fly.
Brady still have a lot left so I hope we see them during playoff or sb"Paper money is going away" - EM

Good win tonight. Nothing too crazy on offense. O-line needs to improve. Michel couldn't find any room to run. I'm hoping because Burkhead was questionable this week that he'll be ready to go against the Browns. Glad to see Jakobi Meyer playing well and making good catches. I wonder what we're going to do at FB. I can't imagine we'll continue to use an LB as FB in goal line situations.
Defense was solid. Poor Sam Darnold played terrible. He said in the first half that he was "seeing ghosts" which makes me LOL. Poor kid has no chance.New England Patriot

How can they not feel good. They have zero competition in the AFC. Chiefs have too many holes and aren’t doing chit but bringing in waiver wire pick ups, Ravens maybe if you get their best game, no ones afraid of the colts or Texans.
They have to be favorite against any NFC team too. Should be another EZ super bowl.☻/

Unless news comes out about Gordon being out for multiple weeks, I truly believe bringing in Sanu means we aren't going to activate Harry and instead will bring back Develin and Wynn.
Our offensive line is a huge issue and our run game sucks. We were using Roberts, a LB, last night as a FB. If that's not an indicator of how much we miss Develin I don't know what is. I said it before in this thread that missing Develin is a huge hit for our run game and we should bring him and Wynn back.
I am surprised we gave up a 2nd round pick for a 30 year WR. That being said, I really like Sanu. He's dependable, a team player and very talented. Sanu is 6'2" 215 which is a big body like Harry that can play slot or outside.
If we can get everyone healthy our WR core will look like this: Sanu, Edelman, Gordon, Dorsett and Meyers. Seems like plenty of depth + Gunner in the mix as well. Meyers is slowly playing better and better. These last two games I've been impressed with his chemistry with Brady and his catching ability. I think he's only going to get better.
Gordon, Dorsett and Burkhead need to get healthy. Bring back Develin and Wynn and our offense starts to get scary for opposing defenses.New England Patriot

Absolutely pathetic performance from the Jets. Darnold was just fukking awful. Couldn't manage one or two field goals. Unreal. I was up by 25 in fantasy with the Pats D left to play. I was up by 1 with 3 minutes in the game and the Jets muff a punt. Putting my opponent over the top to beat me by a point. He's getting negs on site.
