Most stores are looking something like that here right now.
When I was in Tom Thumb on Tuesday I think I go the last bagged salad they had.
In a Kroger today and most of the chilled produce shelves were empty or close. Bread aisle almost completely empty. There were maybe a half dozen loaves of multigrain and wheat store brand bread left. I got one of them.
Went to check and power is still out at my house so I restocked on some groceries and clean clothes for the hotel.INTP Crew

I saw something like this in person yesterday in TN. A year of scamdemic has rewired peoples' brains to panic buy now. Pretty much all the meat, dairy, and bread was gone. Shelves almost cleared out. At first I thought it was that they'd missed their deliveries for a couple of days, but at the checkout I saw the same kind of overstuffed shopping carts we all saw last March.
All because of a severe cold snap of ice and snow that was due to last no more than 4 or 5 days."Buy a man eat fish, the day, teach man, to lifetime." - Joe Biden

Can confirm,
went to store today,
last two days I drove there and left, 2 hour wait outside, the only place in town open.I normally buy 300$ worth of groceries every 5 days avg and the entire store was cleared out of everything.
Except dumbasses left all the good stuff behind. Except meat. Luckily I had bunch of frozen fish, beef, chicken etc
I still bought some sea bass 8$ for 6 ounces n lobster tails.
To me I didn’t skip a beat on my diet.
The dumbasses who I laugh at are ones stocking up on a months worth of water for 2 days is the real problem
Also all the bread was cleared out, juices, and fruits.
Funny thing again, organic stuff left behind, I still got beets, broccoli, tomatoes, blueberries. Still had some blackberries tho.
90% of people’s carts looked like
3 cases of 24 packs, a months supply of water, a months supply of whine bottles, toilet paper, bread and soda packs.Eating "clean" doesn't mean eating "healthy"

What blows my mind is if you open up your ****ing weather app you’ll notice the longest this could possibly last is 7 days.
Why are these retards stocking up like it could be months? Lol
All you have to do is buy a normal weeks worth of food like a normal person."One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

It's so weird for me to think that a few days of sub-10' temps absolutely wrecked a good portion of an entire, huge state, so badly. I get that it was a bad ice storm, but holy chit. We've been dealing with temps regularly hitting -20' F for like 2 weeks, just now finally starting to legit warm up. Plus, our idea of "warm" right now is only days with high temps of ~15' F or so. Clearly, their infrustructure and power grid style needs some serious reassessment after getting rekt so badly like that, even if it was a "once a century ice storm" for the area.

I'm just across the border. I have power, walmart had full shelves, and very few had masks on.
We had the same weather, just small differences in how things work. Stuff like not having water pipes in the attic or walls and not being on our own power grid.
I feel for my buds down south, Texas was no prepared in the least for this. Heartbreaking seeing homes ruined.

A shocking amount of people don't know where the cut off is located in the house. And it's impossible to find the cut off outside when it's buried in snow. And it can ruin a home in less than 30 minutes. Should be one of the first things you locate when purchasing a home, and make sure everyone in the home knows where it's at in case it happens. Water and fire can destroy a home in no time.

this is why restrictions need to be put in place when natural disasters happen. i have been seeing signs that say "limit 1" and "limit 2" since the pandemic began. walmart refuses to do that.

My power went out too, I just moved perishables into the garage and they were fine. I also stocked up on protein bars, bread for PB and Js and other items that dont need to be cooked. MREs are also an option but since this was only supposed to last a week at most I didnt bother obtaining any. I admit I’ve been on tons of camping trips and was a scout so I have some experience with this kind of thing and being ready for the worst case scenario, so I get that everyone does not necessarily have the same knowledge, but I bet people will definitely be more prepared next time. “Be prepared” is the scout motto and is definitely the most important life lesson I took from being one.
