Haha yeah man. I got a response back from Rep and the rep said shipping estimates yesterday were out of the PA inventory, but as of today they are working out of the CO inventory.
Also, they said anything shipping UPS ground will be shipped individually so no combined shipping savings.Last edited by mrcheeze36; 11-24-2020 at 04:29 PM.

In other news, REP's V2 Stainless Barbell is back in stock today, for those who prefer a less aggressive knurling.

Let’s make the hockey sticks larger and heavier so you can really crack your head on them. Am I the only one to ever hit my head (multiple times) on Rogue’s version? Mech used round counterweights for a reason. Despite the marketing hype these aren't significantly any better or different than anything else that is currently available.

Monolifts are live on the site! I ordered a pair, $386 shipped. I figure if I’m having the flanges modified to fit 3x4 uprights, I can also have them cut the hockey sticks off and weld on round counterweights.
I got my order confirmation, but it looks like they were pulled from the website o_OLast edited by boxer_for_life; 11-25-2020 at 11:27 AM.

Not at all. I had a squat rack and in walking around it I opened up my head (bald) a number of times on Rogue's. Luckily I have a lot of bone protecting what little brain is in there but head wounds bleed some. I have Mech's now and love them (plus a full 6 post cage which helps). No idea why everyone keeps making hockey stick style. Probably ease/cost. Mech's stuff is always well thought out for use.

They are actually a bit worse IMO, because of the odd laser cut job that removes your grabbing area for putting them in and taking them out of the rack. Also, I'm not sure why in the world they wouldn't counter sink the screws, and it appears the UHMW on the front is flush with the metal. So if you clip the top of the lip while re-racking prepare for some barbell damage. Will be interesting to see what that extra cutout provides in terms of ROM, appears to maybe add 1/2"?

It’s live now:
Limited Edition - $349 (PR4000) / $359 (PR5000)
Standard - $299 (PR4000) / $309 (PR5000)
Shipping is high to California...only freight options available ($162.28 R&L or $310.18 Estes)...those are the shipping prices for the standard PR5000 monolifts, so after tax and freight it would be $500 or so if I went with R&L freight. Another $55 or so if going limited edition.
I’m good with my Mech monos, just wanted to check pricing...shipping might be a deal breaker for some.
*Added detail:
I checked shipping via shipping calculator in the Cart, as well as via checkout and it was the same thing (R&L and Estes freight options only).Last edited by mrcheeze36; 11-25-2020 at 01:19 PM. Reason: Added additional info:

On IG rep said shipping is going to be $60 eventually
Yeah limited edition all said and done is more expensive than Mech’s lol
As per Sales tax ,they were suppose to charge that long time ago
Either way the standard ones are at the same price range as Rogue ones after shipping and tax
I have both Mech and Rogue ones
I think I will stick with those
Like some others on the forum due to Mech monos I have to stick with 3x3 ,1” Rack and no regrets
I should have gotten the last one Mech made 3x3 ,1” pin .NB beat me to it by couple of hours[M]===[6]▪ Mech6 Crew #35 ▪[M]===[6]

Well, it wouldn't be Black Friday without another REP hiccup...
The absurdly high shipping charges are due to a packaging error on REP's end, but instead of trying to fix or make good on their problem, they've decided to just pass on the mistake to the customer and just have them pay for it by forcing them with freight shipping(packaging issue will only allow for freight). I'm sure that's not their intention, but their actions are essentially saying that even if it's not intentional. Not to mention, freight shipping is even higher from Nov-Jan, so it's even a double screw job. I was planning on getting a set of these monos, the price came in a bit high, but this shipping really put it over the top for me.

Rep has been raising prices now too. I understand that production and shipping from China has probably increased but they are getting harder and harder to recommend with all the hiccups they seem to have and now prices that are getting less and less advantageous. They used to be a great alternative for people wanting something nicer than Titan but cheaper than Rogue but these days it seems like Titan has cleaned up a lot of their QC issues while Rep keeps having more.

REP was a pivot off Rogue where you'd get very high quality for a better price. Now, that price gap difference has narrowed, and even though REP may be a better value still, I don't fault anyone for just going the Rogue route because you know exactly what you're getting into with product, timelines, shipping, and CS. If someone doesn't want to pay up for Rogue or REP, seems like the logical pivot is now Titan. Their prices have increased, but their quality has dramatically increased now to the point it's at least in consideration for a purchase. I have a friend who recently purchased the Titan Lat Pull unit and Monos for his Monster rack. I was blown away by the quality of the monos, I would say even with Rogue with much better looks. Like I said, I was waiting for these REP monos to drop with the intentions of buying these for my PR-5000 rack only to be disappointed with the price, and extremely disappointed with the packaging error and passing the mistake along to the customer. If they had any sense, they would've included a gift card for a future purchase to help offset the shipping charges considering this was their mistake, not the customers, but they just don't think like this.

Just pulled the Titan monos up. Really impressive but price I think is within $10-30 of Rogue Monster units so their quality increase comes with a price as well. No idea why everyone feels they must make hockey stick monos though. Probably cheap but can't be that much cheaper than all other viable alternatives. Edge seems to be the only one with any kind of differentiated counter weight design - lowest price I saw too though offering is pretty raw looking https://edgefitnesssystems.com/products/monolift
Friend picked up the Titan lat pull. I haven't examined it firsthand but looks like a fabulous piece and value - I think it was $1k shipped or thereabout and it was bolt together in elements so he could more easily get it downstairs. I'll get to try it eventually.
Titan does seem to be improving their offering though. Most of my stuff was bought before they ever existed but for a time I wouldn't even consider them an option (at least on anything important or load bearing). Now...they seem viable and some products like that lat pull are seriously impressive in their own right and a great value.▪█─────█▪ Rogue Barbell Crew #27 ▪█─────█▪

I checked pricing on the Rogue Monster monos for comparison, it was $424 after tax and shipping to California vs. $350 for Titan’s monos after tax so a $74 savings if going with Titan (17.5% savings overall).
I was looking to get the Edge monos awhile back but it’s bolt in...I ended up waiting and getting Mech’s monos once they were available.Last edited by mrcheeze36; 11-30-2020 at 03:45 PM.

Speaking of monolift attachments, I didn’t know Sorinex made some ($399 + tax + shipping):

Oh nice, good idea...you’re right it’s pretty light compared to others (almost half the weight of some). It doesn’t have UHMW on the arms or on the brackets that touch the rack, but that doesn’t matter to some or you can add it yourself...but it would be good for Rick to incorporate it if he ever plans to make revisions to it.

It's that time of year and the bad REP pub keeps on coming: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GpVilR-2M8.
Hopefully they can get this fixed, 400ish really isn't that much weight and shouldn't smash the UHMW all the way down below the metal like that. Just seems like an odd area to cut corners on because they've really done a nice job structurally on the jcup itself.
