I still don't have a console either. I have some games and a Dualsense but nothing to use it on. I got a PS3 at launch when I was in Germany, a PS2 at launch in Japan. I am in Hawaii now and cannot get one because everyone is trying to resell. There is a guy in the next town over from me that has three, he will sell all of them for $930 each or $950 if I want just one.

But in that case just get a pc. Series x is an inferior option no matter what you want

the series x is better in terms of value, plus its more accessible.

pay 500 dollars and everything will work as intended, versus pay 1k+ and have to make sure everything is compatible and nothing goes wrong.

Dollar to dollar I don't know how one could justify buying a PC for $1k or less now that the Series X exists. PC only becomes worth it if you drop enough money to get one of the new gfx cards that outperform the Series X.

Just continuing to love Spiderman over here. Last load had me 70something percent through the main story so I'd coming to and end soon. God if you are a comic book nerd I could see this being game of the generation for you as I would assume all the characters they work in are known from other Marvel stuff. Will definitely do an NG+ on the harder difficulty before starting Black Spiderman.

Ray Tracing is so legit. I'd say it's similar to HDR in the fact you have to see it to know what a big deal it makes for the realism of environments. And Ray Tracing's effect is even greater. Just stinks I can't have higher FPS as well. I do hope devs have a FPS and RT mode that compromises frame rates in the future. I guess the fact we can't do both, even on a remastered game really exposes the need for a PS5Pro with more GPU power.

Would love to hear your thoughts on the game. I'd pick it up but still not convinced we don't see a remaster. Hope Naughty Dog breaks silence on that soon. I figure they will surely be either putting out a PS5 patch or doing a Remastered.

My fan makes a light "clicking noise" is the best way I can describe it. Sounds almost as with it's loose or wobbly but I have to be down on the floor with my ear up next to the PS5 to hear it.

My sugar glider caught a cold (chill) and died. Now I need to find my single one (they were a bonded pair) a friend. But I need to hold onto $$$ to get the ps5. I had it carted On Walmart 3pm and got as far as the place order button , and clicked it. Then the freezing screen happened slowed up and I was too late.

The right thing to do would be use the money to get Otis (thr now solo glider) a cage Mate before he dies of depression, and they get super lonely depressed that’s why keeping only one glider is dangerous as they are too social.

The selfish thing to do would be buy the console.

^^yea I saw that. Definitely some weird graphical bugs on Xbox side. They better sort that stuff out soon before the reputation is set for the generation. The series x and ps5 should be pretty close to identical IMO. Or almost functionally identical I should say.

Not gonna matter if 4 months from now there is parity, everyone already gonna have made up their minds for 3rd party games

Really the Series X should be outperforming the PS5. That prioritize frame rate mode although great news for PS5 crew has to be a bug in what detail level is being rendered as DF seems to theorize. In frame rate mode the PS5 drops to 90fps at times while Series X holds 120, yikes.

PS5 is doing better than I expected thus far and I am happy about that because I don't want to feel like I need to buy a Series X as well. But I do think it's a bit too early to really come to many conclusions. The few mutliplat titles seem to be all over the place and inconsistent right now when comparing the two consoles in varier modes. PS5 needs VRR support regardless though.

Ya know, all eyes will be on that game and it'll be the first big multiplat that'll sell next gen systems with some consumers simply going with the system that runs it better if the difference is significant.

I’ll be playing all the Resident Evil’s. I know 5 & 6 don’t have the best reputation but I plan to play them anyway. I also need to play 0 and will play the remakes for 2 & 3 as well.

I actually wasn’t a huge fan of RE4. It was good but not compared to the original RE1 & RE2

I knew I wasn't going to like RE5 much but just wrapped it up and god that game was terrible. Mainly played it just for completion sake. Nothing but shooting. 0 strategy. Having another "player" attached at your hip was awful.

But like I said I knew the format coming in. They changed the style with RE4 and I didn't like that either. Being able to purchase things and automatic saves = gay. Basically having to shoot 24/7. Not being to explore and go back to previous sections (not that you could actually miss anything because these styles are soooo linear).

I'm firing up Resident Evil 0 today and am excited for it. I don't know much about it but it launched before RE4 so I'm hoping it keeps more of the old gaming style. Gonna play the remastered RE right after it.

I've played RE0 for 10 minutes and these 10 minutes are already better than anything in RE5 combined. Found ink ribbon so no auto saves or checkpoint nonsense. Low ammo and already chose to run past some zombies on the train. Multiple places to explore.

Have to hit the X button on everything because there's no action item hints that pop up. Stationary camera angle (though I think this is one they could get away with changing as long as they kept everything else consistent).

This is GOAT RE game style. Already has a much creepier vibe to it. Whoever thought to switch from this for RE4 and RE5 should be fired.

Also no gay ass radar map showing me the entire layout automatically. WTF was that. Only maps that I find show up or if no map found places I've already investigated show up.

Yall got to get on this Demon’s Souls chit. The immersion and tension is crazy, especially with the headset on. You can’t pause even when you are looking through the menus and whatnot. Anyway, was playing through this creepy prison level and cleared out an area and was looking through my inventory when this loud azz metal sound like someone banging on something scared the fuk out of me.
