Foreign investment dropped by 50% this year, largely due to BDS efforts. That's a significant drop, however you look at it. There's a reason why Israel is all over the place trying to shut BDS down. The internet is a wonderful weapon.
If BDS is able to sustain momentum, Israel will eventually have to make concessions and head back to negotiations with the intent of actually wanting to get something done
Edit: do watch the vid when you have the time. It's pretty comprehensive (not fully but close)

EU protests against Israeli plans to demolish Palestinian village
European foreign ministers join US in warning against ‘harmful and provocative’ demolition or evictions in West Bank village of Khirbet Susiya
n a statement, the European foreign ministers echoed a warning delivered by the US government over the fate of the community of 350 in the south Hebron Hills.
Last week, John Kirby, a US State Department spokesman, warned that any demolition or evictions would be “harmful and provocative”. He said: “We’re closely following developments and we strongly urge the Israeli authorities to refrain from carrying out any demolitions in the village.”

lol Arabs in disputed area demand implementation of ISRAELI LAW as opposed to draconian PALESTINIAN LAW.
tee hee
A group of Arab residents of Samaria living under the administration of the Palestinian Authority (PA) has submitted a legal demand asking that Israeli employment laws be implemented in the area where they work - the industrial region of Nitzanei Shalom, just over the 1949 Armistice lines to the east of Netanya.
The reason for the suit is a desire on the part of the Arab workers to receive various social rights enshrined in the Israeli laws, benefits they currently do not enjoy under the PA.
However, a Tel Aviv-Yafo regional court ruled against the workers, deciding not to apply Israeli law to their work conditions. The Arab litigants were even forced to pay 20,000 shekels (over $5,200) for legal expenses and attorney's fees.
The Palestinians appealed to the national labor court, but to no avail: the court upheld the previous verdict.
According to the ruling the establishment of the factory in the region was a joint financial project between Israelis and Palestinian Arabs, and meant as an employment opportunity for Arabs. It was not an Israeli enclave of an Israeli community where Israeli law could be applied, ruled the judges.
The court further clarified that the sides had agreed to apply Jordanian law in the work contracts that were signed by the workers, and reasoned that Jordanian law has been in effect on the employment conditions of the workers.
It also became clear that of around 100 workers employed at the factory, only three Israelis were employed, two as maintenance workers and one as a security guard. The three Israelis worked in different positions than the Arab litigants, further harming their claim of similar inclusion under Israeli law and undermining claims of unequal treatment for workers at the same post at the factory.
Since 2008 the Palestinian Arabs working at the factory have been eligible for pay that is not to go below Israeli minimum wage.

Europe Plans Steps Against Israel Banks Over Occupation
The European Union agreed this week to push ahead with labeling Israeli goods made in settlements in the occupied West Bank, a move that has alarmed the Israeli government; but now there are proposals to go much further, including targeting Israeli banks.
The most significant proposal is on banking, where large Israeli institutions have daily dealings with major European banks, while also providing loans and financing to Israeli businesses and individuals based in the settlements.
Under European Commission guidelines from 2013, EU- and member-state-funded lending cannot be provided to Israeli entities operating in the occupied territories.
With the British government holding a controlling stake in some banks following the financial crisis, that would in theory prevent those banks providing financing to Israeli counterparts that have dealings in the settlements.

Vile scum :
Israel, Don’t Level My Village
SUSIYA, West Bank — IN 1948, as Israeli forces closed in on his village of Qaryatayn, my grandfather carried my father in his arms to Susiya, about five miles north, in the South Hebron Hills area.
“We will go back home soon,” my grandfather told my father.
They did not. Qaryatayn was destroyed, along with about 400 other Palestinian villages that were razed between 1948 and the mid-1950s. My family rebuilt their lives in Susiya, across the 1949 armistice line in the West Bank.
In 1986, my family was expelled from our home once again — not because of war, but because the occupying Israeli authorities decided to create an archaeological and tourist site around the remains of an ancient synagogue in Susiya. (A structure next to the abandoned temple was used as a mosque from about the 10th century.) This time, it was my father who took me in his arms as the soldiers drew near.
“We will return soon,” he said.
We did not. Without compensation, we were forced to rebuild Susiya nearby on what was left of our agricultural lands.

Israeli settlers raise banners in Bethlehem calling for massive land grab
Israeli settlers, Monday, put up banners in multiple areas in Bethlehem district calling for more Palestinian lands to be confiscated for the purpose of settlement construction and expansion.
Ahmad Salah, coordinator of the Anti-Settlement Committee in the village of al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, said a group of settlers arrived at the entrance of the village and set up large banners warning of a new round of struggle for land and a rise in settlements activity.
The incident came a day after Jewish settlers organized three provocative rallies near Ramallah and Bethlehem in call-up for more settlement activity in the occupied West Bank.
Settlements built on Palestinian land occupied by Israel, including East Jerusalem, are deemed illegal by the United Nations.

Israel ends a four-year freeze on new settlements
Israel is venting its opposition to the agreement between U.N. Security Council members China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States and Germany with Iran by building new residences and other properties for settlers in the West Bank.
After a four-year freeze on new settlement construction, this week the Israeli government’s Subcommittee for Settlements approved some 838 new residences. The Israel Defense Forces gave its approval to 1,065 units.

Israeli settlers violently assault Palestinian child
Jewish settlers severely assault a Palestinian child near one of the gates leading to Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, in the Old City of Jerusalem.
Witnesses at the scene reported that extremist Israeli settlers assaulted the child, who was not identified, near al-Ghawanma Gate, prompting a group of Palestinians to intervene and save him. Settlers eventually managed to flee the scene.
This came as Jewish settlers performed Talmudic rituals in front of King Faisal Gate and al-Qattanin Gate, urging large numbers of Palestinian Muslims from the Old City to gather in the area before being dispersed by Israeli police.
The performance of these rituals by Jewish settlers came following calls made by right-wing Jewish organizations, which urged settlers to storm the holy site to mark the destruction of the Temple.

Zionist scum trying to silence those who expose their crimes to the world...
Israel's media war targets journalists in Gaza, West Bank
srael is fighting several diplomatic and military battles. However, one war it may be losing is over its treatment of journalists. As Mel Frykberg reports from the West Bank, the pen is often mightier than the sword.
"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may have dismissed the latest United Nations Independent Commission of Inquiry report on the Gaza war as 'defective and biased' but that does not mean Israel can move on with a clear conscience as far as the journalists' deaths are concerned. More media staff members were killed in Gaza during the 50-day conflict than in the rest of the world combined over that period," said Mahoney.
The International Middle East Media Center says that 17 journalists were killed in Gaza, while Reporters Without Borders gave the figure as 15, most of them Palestinian.

Netanyahu demands illegal West Bank homes not be demolished
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tuesday that the Israeli government opposed a High Court order to demolish illegal homes in the West Bank settlement of Beit El and was taking legal recourse to prevent such action.
"We are actively trying to strengthen the settlements, in accordance with the law," Netanyahu said. "Our stance on the houses in Beit El is very clear: We oppose the demolition and are taking legal action to prevent this move.
The two structures – known collectively as Dreinoff buildings, named after the contractor who built them – were constructed on private Palestinian land and a court demolition order was issued for them in 2010. After a lengthy legal battle in the High Court, the state was given until this Thursday to demolish the structures.
In the past two weeks, the local settler council has encouraged youths to arrive at the scene and set themselves up in the two houses in an attempt to prevent the demolition. In recent days, fortification efforts were conducted by settlers and barbed wires was placed around the structures' doors and windows, and makeshift metal barricades were set up.

And not a word from the usual vile Zionists on here.
Meanwhile :
Israel Approves New Settlement Homes
JERUSALEM (AP) -- The Israeli Prime Minister's office said Wednesday it has approved the "immediate construction" of 300 housing units in the West Bank settlement of Beit El and has advanced plans for 504 new housing units in Israeli settlement areas in east Jerusalem.
Israel captured east Jerusalem in 1967 and annexed the area in a move that is not recognized internationally.

And Americans. My understanding is that they act like the KKK and are a group of highly dangerous and unlawful people.
US policy does not endorse the Israeli settlements. The recent trade deal questions whether that is actually true but I personally think that is because most people don't understand (maybe even the relevant parties) that the USA position has been for some time that the Israeli settlements are highly counter-productive to a peace process and final settlement between the Israelis and Palestinians....and the Israel language is a 'rider'. Most informed Americans would not sacrifice trade positions in favor of Israeli settlements...thankfully, I doubt that we will need to do so despite the nearly treasonous language and efforts by AIPAC to compromise best USA interests recommending we put Israel before our own interest.
The goal is a long lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians which will last for many generations.
Israeli settlements do not help that goal. They inhibit that goal. That calls into question the utility of USA involvement at all in the peace process and our continual support in the UN in favor of Israel.
Why maintain our position if the very reason for our position (that peace is more effectively achieved through our management) is dismantled by the Israelis through ongoing settlements?
It's not like everybody doesn't understand where the positions are. So what gives? We need Hamas to abandon terrorism. We need Israel to abandon settlements. Aren't those the next two steps? If not...then what?EX IGNORANTIA AD SAPIENTIAM
