...still trust gubmint??
Open your eyes. Look at the Texas shooting massacre. Cops did nothing.
It has been ruled constitutionally twice that cops do not have to protect lives. Cops exist to blindly follow orders of the oligarchs. Cops work for politicians who illegally pass unconstitutional laws that cops are obligated to blindly follow. It's the truth.

The cops were doing something. The only thing they seem to know how to do. They were harassing citizens and cowering in fear.
While the gunman was murdering children for over an hour, 30 or more police, wearing body armor and carrying assault rifles, were outside the school harassing the parents, demanding ID, and pepper spraying families. On the video you can clearly hear cops abusing family members while a gunman in the school murders children.
The Sheriff said that he was reluctant to send in his officers for fear they would get hurt
The officers actively prevented family members from rescuing their children.
The police aided the killer.

And yet we repeatedly see that when police forces are defunded in areas or chunks of the force leave, the crime goes up and quality of life goes down.

Police have their roles in life and in general I think their duties should include protection of citizens who require it, investigate crimes, etc. Far too many are simply revenue enhancers who will gladly harass and ticket people for the most minor of bs offenses.

There are exceptions to every rule, and if you’re actually at Fort Bragg I’d say there’s a good reason your area wasn’t as impacted by reduction in police forces as other areas. It’s no secret what has happened in cities all over the country that demanded defunding of police.

You know there is a x cop I every city that tells this very story.
The reasons why quality of life declines in places like NYC when the police are less present is because gubmit puts the fear in the citizens that if they defend themselves they go to prison.
Remember Jtbnys post, three years for gun possession, they slap that on your average joe.

often police do a great job and some of the A holes out there I occasionally see remind me to be pleased to have police. But I do hate Some police, and those guys definitely made that list
I hope he gets a medal and they make the police chief give it to him in front of all the police
After the Ariana Grande bombing the victims were left bleeding out for 45 mins to an hour in some cases. The firemen were desperate to get in to help the victims and the police prevented them for "safety reasons" there were even physical fights. I've no reason to question the average fireman for braveryLast edited by OldFartTom; 05-27-2022 at 09:48 AM.

from the budget of Portland
$1.4 million to create Community Safety Transition program
$978,000 to fully fund the Portland Street Response pilot
$4 million, starting in Fiscal Year 2022-23, for new police oversight board
$1.8 million for 22 new community service officers, or Public Safety Support Specialists
$2.4 million to prevent a fire station closure
Almost $9 million in ongoing cuts to the police bureau
$294,000 to the Office of Violence Prevention, in addition to the $5.9 million Council previously committed to an immediate gun violence response
$5.3 million in one-time resources to prevent a patrol officer shortage in Fiscal Year 2022-23
$475,000 to support compliance with the Department of Justice agreementThere is an unspoken thing, we are iron brothers and sisters, we are to support each other and...It is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the iron game!

its like a giant contradiction. Trust police and give up your guns. Then Its don’t trust the police and give up your guns.
So which is it? Do we have a right to protect ourselves or not? The left is sweating trying to decide…Last edited by Kraken; 05-27-2022 at 10:15 AM.

Cool, do you also know that a majority of the police, since 2020 and the defund movement, don't even bother doing their jobs most of the time?
They can have all the budget in the world now, but crime has still gone up here because they're not willing to get screwed over by the leadership that we have in Portland, and especially, Oregon.
Few friends are cops here in Portland and they've told me that if its a POC, they don't bother.
Not because of any bias towards them, but they'd like to keep their jobs and not have to deal with the mental gymnastics that comes from trying to do their jobs properly.
Because of all this, even with funding, this place has gotten worse.

Also, I want to just add this out as a concept that we may be forgetting after 2020 and you can have your own opinion on it as well - just my two cents.
Maybe the reason we are seeing so many bad cops come out of the woodwork is because the good ones, the ones actually upholding the duties they signed up for, are gone or in the shadows now.
With all these blue states and the left cheering on to "de-fund" the police, a lot of them just don't want to get caught losing their jobs, their pensions or worse, arrested and jailed themselves.
I back the blue, but I back the ones that are there to do their jobs and uphold the promise they made to themselves and us.
Funny how other professions that can kill people aren't blamed for the small percentage of bad that there is within their groups, but all cops get labeled based on the small minority.
Anyways, that's all I have to say on that.

I watched in confusion the summer of 2020 while those Marxist bastards, blm and antifa basically raped, pillaged and murdered innocents in cities across America and the police who are to protect and serve, basically did nothing but stand around and watch and take orders from those above them that are part of this nefarious cabal, I was astounded that they( police and other agencies) didn’t move in en masse and start arresting and neutralizing the threats, it was , you’re on your own now, deal with it, and virtually nothing at all happened to the perpetrators of chaos, still!

Media also exaggerates too.
That said, it’s the same as before. Just like the woke wave spreading through the military, it demoralizes individuals and makes less fierce when fighting for their country and the innocent. Why protect a corrupt people? Why risk your life? Make individuals doubt themselves, hold them to lower standards, convince them to discriminate against whites…it’s now a fact that a majority of officers are more likely, even more “comfortable”, shooting whites than minoritiesOne party system; Most Republicans are Democrats, but no Democrats are Republicans.

Its why we have the situation in Texas - most of those cops probably improperly trained, not suited for the job mentally or physically, bad cops in general or a mixture of all or some.
More than likely there were good cops in the mix that could have done better or there were, but they quit.
Just because its Texas doesn't mean cops are given a free pass from the Liberal MSM - in fact, they're probably more on the chopping blocks for being in red states/cities.
