    a Question : Is sodium intake, a factor in losing weight?

    Well, a quick history : I was fat, and lost 20kgs, 5 years ago. Now, i've put these 20Kgs back and am losing weight again.

    In the past, i changed my diet to lots of vegs and shirataki noodles and of course exercised as much as possible. i cooked using little to no salt.

    Now that i am starting again, my 1st 3 weeks loss is quite good, about a kg a week. But this time, i added salt and noted that sodium doesn't seem to affect weight loss. Am i wrong? Will the effects be more prominent once i plateau?

    Too much salt can cause you to be bloated but actually weight loss or gain it won’t affect much, if anything at all. It’s water retention mainly

    Genetically speaking, salt/carbs and water will make you look great or terrible depending on how much you consume each variable

    As others have said it's not fat it's just how your body decides to display (aesthetically)
